Focus
I have been shooting federal once fired brass with NO issues. Is there a certain manufacturer that is better than another? Would anyone recommend nickel in a 9mm Major? I know nickel is thicker and harder, therefore it handles pressure better, maybe up your velocity without using more powder? Thanks! Fireant
There are a lot of people with different ideas on this, but in my gun I have been able to run any brass without problems. That is from once fired winchester to remington +p nickle to the range brass my son picks up after the matches are over. I have not had any brass related issues with my set-up. I even run them all mixed up in the same mag because the reason I went 9mm major was to not have to be picky about my brass.

Chris Keen
Winchester is not only the most popular, but probably the most consistent.

boz1911
I was under the impression 9 major guns were picky regarding brass. Is Glock fired (guppy) brass ok to use? Is ther brass one should not use in a 9 major gun?
DougCarden
Boz, run glock fired brass through a standard Lee die, it will take care of it and it will gauge fine. If it is once fired, you should be fine loading it several times......FWIW Good luck, DougC
the duck of death
Glock 9mm don't "guppy" the brass, the chambers are tight and have adequate support.
Matt Cheely
For match loading I try to use all Winchester headstamp.
BD Williamson
I have been running the stuff that I sell in my 9mm open gun which is a mixed bag of head stamps and it has ran it all with no issues. Brian

jostein jensen
don't use anything thats been major loaded to glock. don't use SMG fired brass. Lots of army brass around the globe coming from SMG's and they have a tendency to explode, but thats second hand info on my part, so take it FWIW. My IMM loved GFL (NATO 9mm cases). boz1911
Thanks for the info, I wasn't trying to hijack this thread and I know a search of the 42 pages of 9/38 load info would have revealed the answers. My new blaster is 4 1/2 months away so I have plenty of time to accumulate and sort what used to be worthless 9mm brass. Doug, do you mean a U-die? That's all I have used for a while now.
