kurtm
When John went out on his own that was his ONE song, But the Kingston Trio connection gets you many extra points!! But in the trio he was a writer Not known as a singer. Steveie isnt a one hit wonder either, but that was a one time song and I don't think anyone would have know about my neighbor John ( long ago) If you hadn't brought it up! And while we are at it How about Procol Harum " A Whiter shade of pale"... the whole damn thing...not just the Breakfast club cut version? What a great thread!! wide45
My dad was a big Kingston Trio fan. Conquistador by Procol Harum made it to #16... Gilbert O'Sullivan had some hits in the UK , but in the US, just the one; 'Alone Again (Naturally)' Enjoying this thread. So much good music.
