Ben Stoeger
After losing Area 5 in a close battle, I realize how much more work I need to do. 1 Robert 126 A49056 GM Production Minor No 915.5587 100.00% 2 Ben 69 A54313 GM Production Minor No 915.1707 99.96% 3 Steve 187 A42937 GM Production Minor No No 774.4231 84.58% 4 Brad 107 FY29788 A Production Minor No No 674.8870 73.71% 5 Kyle 57 A44001 GM Production Minor No No 671.8522 73.38% I think I SHOULD be really bummed out. But for some reason, I just want to shoot more. I shot 1100 rounds yesterday, then went to wally world and bought still more ammunition. I think in the next two weeks I will probobly shoot about 8500 rounds of ammunition. I am getting there. I think I can pull off a 90% of Dave finish at nationals, and I plan to do just that. Its time to kick arse.

Chris Keen
Obviously Ben knows what it takes to win. Practice ..... and lots of it. It's hard to win the Nationals when you're primary concern is worrying about your budget. I dont mean anything negative to those who *ARENT* shooting 8500 rounds in the next 2 weeks ....... thats more than I shot in the last 3 months, but you wont hear me complaining about not winning my class at Nationals either. It takes alot of dedication to compete at that level. We're not talking about winning a club match here. Kick ass Ben.

Its time to kick arse. Ben, I can't imagine why you think you should be bummed out. Looking at the info reveals some interesting things. Consider the member numbers of the top five. All of those guys have been around longer than you. You came within 1/2 of a stage point of winning an area championship against more experienced competition. Clearly you have been shooting USPSA for a relatively short time (less than three years?) and have already made GM. What is there to be bummed about? Tom Mainus
I believe that Ben made GM with the first 4 classifiers he ever shot. That is the story that I keep hearing. Also keep in mind that I think Ben shot area 5 on Saturday in the pouring rain. Sunday the ground was soaked but we really didn't have the rain to contend with like they did on Saturday. Nice job Ben. Tom Edited August 21, 2007 by Tom Mainus
