thunderstick
I am curious on what 1911 manufacturer out there (springfield, kimber, wilson, nighthawk, .etc) is the most american made? I am looking at the complete package: frame, barrel, components, gunsmiths location, .etc
L9X25
For those that are willing to pay the price the SV Infinity is 100% USA made and machined from billet right in Texas. Even the small cast parts that many companies import, SV machines them in-house. They even make their own barrels in-house. The pistols are not cheap but they ARE works of art. thunderstick
I did know that about SVI. That might explain the cost of them.
Chris Keen
True ..... but you can't get much more American made than TEXAS!

JFD
I think he forgot about their latest model. Hardly American made, but cheap.

lmccrock
TSS = Triangle Shooting Sports in Corpus Christi, TX, run by Benny Hill. Benny machines some of his own parts. Seems like whenever I call TSS, Larry answers the phone. I think Merlin answered once. Lee

38superman
Can't speak to any of the others, but my Springfield-Armory 1911 has a frame made in Brazil. Tony

Jaxshooter
I think Wilson is still using all American made parts for the 1911s.
Byron Simpson
Ed Brown makes all of his stuff too.
Chuck Merriam
I have a les baer in hard chrome from the factory. You will need 500 rounds min. to get it to where you can rack it by hand without having to shoot it dry! It is by far the tightest and smoothest slide to frame fit of any of my guns. In blue I think they offer the best for the cheapest price.
