  1. I have been looking but can't find anything recent, are the CR Speed Versa Pouches legal for Single Stack? I am wanting to flip up the glock insert and use them but don't know if this is ok. thanks.
  2. I have seen Clays pop up a number of time so I gave it a try. I seemed to get wild variations in performance. The comment on it not metering through a dillon seemed to be spot on. Any suggestions on how to fix this? It is definetly soft shooting and clean.
  3. accidentally posted this earlier in the wrong section: I have a bunch of new STI 45 acp mags (126 hi-cap, and 140 mm) and on a number of them I am having feed problems with them. I have ensured the bullets are of proper length so I am ok there. What is happening is it is like the follower is dragging on the front of the magazine and not allowing the bullet nose up so that it will feed into the gun. Seems odd that it is happening on so many of the mags. I have even tried shortening the bullets (already within spec) and I am still having the problem. These are brand new mags. Suggestions? Thanks.

  5. WOW! I flipped every spacer every way but that one. Thanks!!!!!
  6. I don't have an answer for your question but had one to add to it. How do you set up these pouches to work for the Single Stack?
  7. This my be a stupid question but from a gunsmithing perspective why do these guns both have opening on the ejection port side where you can see the brass against the breech face? thanks
  8. in looking at the picture of his gun, what type of magwell is that? Is it an SVI magwell?
  9. I stand corrected. It was nationals. Not sure why I had area 1 in my head.
  10. I was looking at the most recent front sight magazine and was trying to figure out what Leatham was shooting in L10? Is it a single stack? if so what magazines is he using? thanks.
  11. how many rounds are you getting in your mags with the Arrendondo mags? Also what kind of reliability with the mags are you getting?
  12. so what about some of the other big gun companies (wilson, les baer, nighthawk,.etc)??
  13. Chris, are you saying that STI is getting all of its parts for all of its pistols from an American company?
  14. I did know that about SVI. That might explain the cost of them.
  15. I am curious on what 1911 manufacturer out there (springfield, kimber, wilson, nighthawk, .etc) is the most american made? I am looking at the complete package: frame, barrel, components, gunsmiths location, .etc
  16. Since you are using a NHO magwell, did you have to change out your basepads? If not are you able to slap them in like normal or do you have to do the "thumb" push in to get them to seat?
  17. I am shooting a G21 (vanek trigger) in IDPA CDP, and I am curious what other like shooters have done to their guns and still kept the gun and mags legal. Looking for input.
  18. cool. I figured it would make it, I just was hoping to put my mind at ease.
  19. So this might seem like a bone head question but does anyone have definitive proof that wwb 115 gr 9mm out of a Glock 34 (stock barrel) will make minor at Area 1? If so what PF did it run for you? thanks.
  20. it appears to be the crimp. I backed it off and they appear to not be tumbling. thanks for the help
  21. I am using Berry's double struck 125gr and I am getting some tumbling. what would cause that?
  22. I only have experience with the Sotelo and Vanek. Both seem to be good. The differences I have seen are: 1) Vanek is smooth all the way through. no bunching before break. Vanek break with a "surprise" 2) Sotelo has some take up then breaks. It breaks easily. 3) Sotelo seems to be overall lighter. I don't have enough rounds though the Sotelo to discuss durability. The Vanek has about 10k rounds through it and with the orginal springs it is still a trooper.
  23. I completely agree with your recoil comment. Thanks for the link. I had not seen that before.
