clw42
What's a good brand for 1/4" Hex and Torx bits? Seems like they're all MiC crap that either break or round over.
George16
I have great experience with Bondhus brand. Just make sure you don’t buy the imitation products from china. https://bondhus.com I have both standard and metric hex in addition to the Torx. The ends haven’t rounded off and still looks new after over 10 years of use. Edited November 18 by George16

I also feel the Fix-It-Sticks tools seem to have good bits; but I don't have any long term experience with them....

I tried cheaping out on my Fixits and bought the tools without the bits...I should know better.

They seem to be holding up very well. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BXBWXW2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=
zzt
Buy your bits from McMaster Carr. They only sell the good stuff. Also, buy your screws from them. Perfect heads and their bits fit snuggly. Edited November 20 by zzt

Farmer
I’ll add Snap-On to the above suggestions too. I’ve also bought cheap ones that have lasted a long time while the same ones from the same package shattered like glass.
RePete
I'll delete Scrap Iron (Snap On) from the list. They are junk. As a mechanic for over 40 years, too many rounded and caused more problems. Bondus is the way to go by far.

But like everything else that was once good………..
