  1. Thank you! All set, that fixed it. It must have walked out a little.
  2. I'll second the dominate defense inner belt for rigidity. However, I've found with any ratchet system the inner belt matters much less.
  3. On one of my 2011's when I rack the slide with my finger depressing the trigger I can feel a click. It happens just before half cock, maybe with the slide ~1/4" or so back. When compared with other 2011's, both mine and a friend's (of the same make), none of them do that. The gun so far has run flawlessly, but on my last full tear down I noticed some wear on the sear on the side opposite the hammer engagement. Any thoughts on the cause? I don't want to willy nilly replace parts or fit things when I don't understand the reason.
  4. I think Black Scorpion is the only one that has a Rival S specific race holster: https://www.blackscorpiongear.com/products/canik-sfx-rival-s-pro-heavy-duty-competition-speed-holster-w-magnets But there's also the DAA Flex: https://www.doublealpha.biz/us/daa-flex-holsters And the Guga Ribas: https://www.shootersconnectionstore.com/Browse-by-Manufacturer/Guga-Ribas/Guga-Ribas-Competition-Holster
  5. Almost exactly my situation, but I used the Max vs. the XL.
  6. I do as also. With the 507, I find myself using the 8 moa ring with the dot in the middle. It's not the best solution, but it's a decent compromise. At match speed, I don't really notice it. The dot only, with brightness cranked up does appear to be a bit larger as well, but not 6MOA. I'm surprised there aren't more reviews on the SFJ2. It fits all of the parameters. But, unfortunately like the Holosun, it's made in China which will definitely deter some folks. Totally agree...though I'm not sure how easy or non cost prohibitive that would be.
  7. I have one on an Atlas Athena. So far I like it. I've only had it a month but it has held zero through about 500 rounds. Dot is bright and decently shaped even with my astigmatism. Glass is good, no distortion at the edges and doesn't seem to add any magnification that I can see. It does have a slight blue tint but no worse than the Romeo 3 Max. Buttons are good, they have a tactile feel when pressing them, I'd say on par with the 507 Comp, definitely better than the SRO. It seems pretty good overall. I don't like it as much as the 507 Comp, but I do like it more than the SRO, that's just me, I hate the SRO glass. I'm not sure why but the SRO glass just doesn't seem clear at all, and I've tried several. I'm not saying it's better than the SRO, but I personally prefer it over the SRO. I bought it on a total whim and I'm not disappointed. I'm going to use it for this upcoming season with no reservations.
  8. Just got two of them from a friend of mine that did a "group buy" for some of us. Very nice. I also grabbed a couple of shoot steel static poppers as well.
  9. Like this: https://shootsteel.com/product/3-8-ar500-28-static-pepper-popper/
  10. Great review. Pros and Cons seem more than fair. Seems a little on the pricey side, but it appears to be very well made so could be a buy once, cry once sort of thing. I don't think I'd buy one for personal use, but if I was running matches I'd certainly consider it.
  11. Speed Shooters International
  12. I'm interested as well. Too bad they used one of the not so common in competition mounting options (Doctor/Noblex). Other than that, it looks pretty cool for sure.
  13. Thanks Guys. I tried cheaping out on my Fixits and bought the tools without the bits...I should know better.
  14. What's a good brand for 1/4" Hex and Torx bits? Seems like they're all MiC crap that either break or round over.
  15. Ordered 4/4, received today. I got the new light up screen.
  16. The only other issue I can see is that the slide racker, and mag release are on the wrong side.
  17. I think your best mount option is from RangePanda, I don't think the Boss will fit: https://rangepanda.com/products/cnc-replacemement-ghost-hanger
  18. Take the grips off and look at it. You should be able to see if there's something there.
  19. Thanks for that. I ordered one and it's on the way. I've also got an AMG on order with the new display. I'll probably keep whichever one I like better. I've got two PP's now, one original and one BT. If I'm wearing my shooting prescriptions, I just can't see the smaller numbers on the screen. I didn't have that problem with my original AMG. Unfortunately that was "lost" at a large east coast match.
  20. I didn't even notice that they didn't. Good call. And you're 100% right IMO.
  21. Any thoughts on the Kestrel timer KST1000? Seems it's been out a while, but I've only just started seeing them. It's a bit pricey at $299
  22. Looks like there's a newer version of Sordins now too. A little spendy, but I'm interested. https://benstoegerproshop.com/sordin-supreme-pro-x-3-sfa-electronic-hearing-protection-slim-headband/
  23. Totally agree. I had the Ghost Hydra P+ or whatever, and the DAA Max at the same time. I settled on the DAA, because I couldn't get over the terrible Ghost belt attachment. There was too much wiggle for me. Since then though, RangePanda has come out with their own version which looks great. It's not worth switching for me, but I'd likely go that route if I were starting that journey again. The Ghost had zero resistance when drawing the gun. It was like a bucket with a lock on it. The DAA took some work to get it almost as smooth as the Ghost, but the DAA belt attachment is miles ahead of the Ghost.
  24. Too many variables. I sent a gun back to a builder for a cracked slide after about a year of use and over 50K rounds through it. Upon closer inspection, he also found the frame was cracked in the center of the frame rails and the barrel was about done. He actually rebuilt the entire gun for the price of the replacement components. I thought that was way beyond fair. The only original parts were from the fire control group - Hammer, trigger, sear, disco and sear spring. Other builders might not be so generous. So tough question to answer.
