mwx40x40
I know I’ve seen something on here before about someone doing carbon fiber barrels for 929. But, I cannot find it, can someone point me in the right direction?

blackss06
If I had a 617 I'd be all over it but yea, 929 would be amazing.

revoman
Make the barrel a .356 and will work on a 627 and 929. After all S&W put .357 barrels on both. I have a .356 barrel on my 627 and use .358 bullets and get great accuracy.
Toolguy
I have .355 Walther barrels on a couple of my guns and shoot .357 jacketed and .358 lead through them and get extreme accuracy. My Bianchi gun in a Ransom Rest will shoot 3/8" groups at 25 yd. and a little over 1" groups at 50 yd. This is with 125 gr. Zero JHP. Hornady, Sierra, and Nosler will all shoot like that in that gun. The point is, a .355 barrel works good for .355 and up. A 357 barrel is good for .357, but sometimes marginal for .355 bullets. Squirrel45
When I first started reloading an old timer at my club told me let the barrel size the bullet.
