147 blues and a comped gun load

i have 6000 147 blues and shoot a all steal match dont have to make power factor but would like a load that moves the steel so i can use up these bullets

i have clays titegroup and hs-6 but open to different powders

TG burns too hot.  It will melt the coating.  The comp will flame cut it and you'll get leading and smurf poo in the comp.  Clays with a 147 is fine for loads soo slow you can run down range faster than the bullet.  HS-6 is dirty to start with, and super dirty in minor loads.

 

If you don't care about working the comp fully, use 3.2gr Alliant Sport Pistol powder.  It burn cool and is coating friendly.  If you want to work the comp, WAC, Silhouette and CFE at 145-155 PF will work.

 

Your best option is to sell the bullets and buy plated 115s or 124s.  You comp will love you.
