RiggerJJ
COME ON people! Who in the &%@# can go to 4 or 5 MAJOR 3gun matches in as many consecutive weekends? Please, please, please spread these out more! How about July? in 2005 there were NO major 3gun matches in my calendar! (other than the team shoot that was canceled over the 4th weekend) This loading up of August is just spreading the shooters thin, very few will be able to attend all that they would want to. 'whew', rant off... jj
Jim Norman
OB/CATS will hold our 3-gun on the last weekend in October in 2006. This year the match sold out. We are looking to address ways of opening up the match to more people. Look for an application to be posted by Febuary. Jim Norman

Sterling White
Hey Zak, Several of us have been talking about hosting a Va/Md multigun tact. match. Initial thoughts are to host a 2-3 day event, 6-8 stages w/ lots of steel. Trying to fit it into a schedule seems to be our big question right now. Have been thinking about hosting it in the spring or fall time period. Thanks for getting the dates posted here as it will help us. Will keep everyone posted as we get more info put together. Anyone interested in 3gun events in VA/MD area can send me a pm. There's usually 2 and sometimes a 3rd match held every month within an hour or two of Washington DC. Zak Smith
I'd love to make more, and more different, matches. Spreading out matches away from August is a good idea, and organizating them the best possible to minimize time req'd off of work helps too. George
We used to hold a yearly rifle and shotgun chamionship match a long time ago at Richmond. I am bringing back the tradition for rifle only in 2006. It will be a cheap match fee ($35-40 tentatively). Trinket recognition only, but a great little match for the serious IPSC rifle shooter. 7-8 challenging stages, 220 yards max distance, but tough and enough shots at that distance that you better bring a solid zero ;-) Gonna be lotsa steel and lotsa fun. Most of my MD effort for the year will be going into this one. Match will be run and scored by IPSC rifle 2004 USPSA edition. I will lock it off at 75 shooters so we can do it in one day easily. I do not want a gruelling match from the competitors standpoint. Entry form will be available sometime in December. More info on the Richmond Hotshots website after the 1st of December. http://www.richmondhotshots.com/ -- Regards,

Sterling White
Hello all, We will be having a local match this month in St Charles Maryland on the 20th (third sunday). Send Jason an email at gmstrjsn@aol.com to sign up. I usually post these at our local forum hosted by shootersparadise.com but thought about sharing in case there are folks in PA, VA, or MD looking for something to do that weekend. Set up will start at 0800 and shooting should start by 1000. Scoring: paper targets require 2 hits to either the A, B, or C zones. D hits are considered a miss (5 second penalty). No shoots are a 10 sec penalty. Bonus target is worth 5 seconds for each hit with a max. of 2 hits or 10 seconds. http://www.stcharlessc.com/ Email Joe if you would like to attend a match near Richmond VA on the 26th of this month at binazone@comcast.net These guys put on a fun local match with a lot of movement and it will be the last match of '05 because the last Saturday in December (31st) is New Year's Eve - probably not the best time for a match. You don't want to miss (no pun) the Texas Star at 65 yards with the rifle, another Texas Star behind lots of tall barrels with the shotgun and poppers and flying clays. Naturally, all stages are all 3 guns. If your in the neighborhood that weekend drop on by. These stages are also posted on the shooters forum.
