  1. Hey Kelly - just a suggestion - any match posted here should have a link to the separate thread for that match in the initial posting. Just a suggestion...
  2. I hope you guys and gals have a great match. I had to cancel at the last minute (torn calf muscle). Maybe next year and I can celebrate my 70th while I'm there!
  3. JJ Spmething isn't right. I have a DMR I built with a 20" heavy White Oak DMR barrel and an IOR 1.5 to 8 that only weighs 11 pounds and 4 ounces with a modified Harris bipod mounted on it.
  4. I've been using a Blackhawk Serpa Duty holster (Serpa with a hood) for 3 gun for the past 10 years. It works, makes the rule and retains the gun in a fall.
  5. 5.8.4 applies to CONCEALABLE holsters and magazine pouches, NOT field holsters etc.
  6. High Speed gear makes Taco pouches that will meet spec for 170mm big sticks and Surefire 60 round magazines - and anything shorter.
  7. I've shot that birdcage monstrosity, the fork we had on the early M16s was better. So if the Smith, the Cooley, etc are OK, would any 1" x 3" comp be okay (I generally use a custom comp that Dan Serpina makes for me).
  8. Your post a short while ago: 4.3. No compensators on any weapon unless general military or in issue form. Through the barrel and / or slide porting is considered a compensator. A flash hider that is otherwise identical to the military flash hider except that is has a restricted exit is acceptable. [2016: Ported slides functionally equivalent to Glock 34-35 are permitted.]
  9. SFMB-556-1/2-28 Muzzle Brake / Suppressor Adapter . Surefire renamed it the SOCOM.
  10. Jimmy: on rifle comps - I thought I'd read earlier that outlaw 3-gun comps (1" x 3") were permitted. What about suppressor adapters like Surefire? The Marine Corps is (was?) using them three years ago. With six rifles in the safe, I don't particularly want to build another one for one match.
  11. RE: "5.8.5. Magazine pouches for the pistol may leave no more than 2 inches protruding from the magazine carrier while those for the rifle may leave no more than 2 inches of a 20 round magazine protruding or 3 inches of a 30 round or greater magazine...." emphasis on greater Does this mean the the 60 round Surefire is permitted?
  12. Mountian Time. It was 0933 here - and at my age CRS is a valid excuse.
  13. Hey! It's 0833 and "Registration is not currently open for new applicants." I have to get this done so I can get to the store before the storm hits. And what Tarkeg said........................
  14. Jimmy.... "AND!....General Open registration is open on Friday January 22nd @ 0800...SIGN UP!" 0800 Eastern? Central?, Mountain?????
  15. Shiny. We stand silent on that per the rules.... ....curious, though: Are they designed to let more dirt in or allow more dirt to fall clear (in a purely theoretical situation, of course) ericm Seriiously? The slide runs faster and the gun shoots flatter. The cuts also let the mud run out faster!
  16. Eric, what about lightening cuts in a slide? They are no ports in the barrel.
  17. It's been a long time since I've seen people this enthusiastic about a match. It's refreshing gentlemen. I had just about given up on 3 Gun after a few mishaps at the last FNF match I shot and I am really looking forward to this.
  18. John was apparently killed in a single vehicle auto accident at 9:13 last night. http://pdxtraffic.blogspot.com/2013/01/fatal-traffic-crash-highway-260-west-of.html
  19. I have 4 AR-15s - set up for 3 Gun - for sale on Gunbroker. PM me and I'll send you the links.
  20. Tim - I need the too so if you're serious, I have one made for an XS2 that I can send to you for a pattern and you can make one for the M2 based on that. Mike
  21. Denise, A favor please? When you are finished, would you kindly forward your outline and course particulars, curriculum etc, to me? I'd like to combine it with what we use here for the Pro-Am, FN, etc in the hope that we can come up with a course outline (and eventually rules) that we can all work with. Thanks, Mike
