  1. Very pleased with that barrel in mine. Extremely accurate.
  2. Interesting post. Looking at using the same product in my M&P. Look forward to hearing from folks and their experiences.
  3. Agreed. I sent it to Troy at USPSA. They should update it soon. Running this one soon and someone asked for clarification.
  4. PCC Start Position for CM 99-10 Times Two??? CM 99-10 Times Two Written Stage Briefing Times Two is a 12 round, 60 point, Comstock classifier course. There are 6 metric targets. The best two hits per target will score. The start signal is audible. The start position is standing in either box A or box B, facing downrange, hands relaxed at sides. Handgun is loaded and holstered. PCC start position is standing in Box A, facing downrange, stock on belt, muzzle downrange, loaded carbine held in both hands with safety on. Upon the start signal, from within the fault lines of the starting box engage the appropriate targets with at least 2 rounds each. Move to the remaining box and from within the fault lines engage the appropriate targets with at least 2 rounds each. Engage T1-T3 only from box A and T4-T6 only from box B. Seems obvious to me that the intent is to allow the shooter to start in either box. Why would the PCC start position specify Box A?
  5. Like Unicorns. Maybe they exist. Maybe they don't. I have my doubts. No one has seen one.
  6. Thanks for the tips. I agree this thing is going to need to be taped. I have already removed the lever. Not that bad. Yes this is a work in progress. Almost done. Just working out a few kinks.
  7. The only option I see is removing the current mag release lever. That does not look easy on the Quarter Circle 10 lower receiver. Drilling and taping. Not exactly easy again. Maybe using one designed for an AR15. https://www.quartercircle10.com/products/receivers/lower-receivers/glock-small-frame-lower-receiver.html https://www.apexgunparts.com/sig-pistols/sig-556/ar15-m16-sig556-extended-magazine-button-release-embr.html http://www.odinworks.com/XMR_p/acc-xmr.htm Suggestions? The magazine release lever on the QC10 is metal. Not plastic.
  8. AP Man is also 1/2x36 I think.
  9. Thanks. I like it. I actually have something similar from JP. However, I've decided to go with a Quarter Circle 10 1/2x28. A lot of the 9mm comps (like this one) seem to be threaded for the 1/2x36.
  10. Fortis Muzzle Brake looks pretty sweet. Might even have to spring for the control shield while I am being crazy. http://fortismfg.com/ar15-fortis-muzzle-brake-9MM-nitride-28
  11. Who would you recommend? Need to lose some weight on the slide of an S&W M&P CORE 4.25". Optic is Trijicon RMR. Would love to have the weight come off both the front and back of the slide. I would like to lose the iron sights. Maybe the milling could include reworking the sight slots. I also would like to have the slide refinished when the work is done (Maybe Cerakote).
  12. Jeremy. Changed mine out for the Pro 5" in 9mm. Shooting minor power factor in USPSA. I went with the Dawson Precision adjustable rear. I had a Dawson .240 on the front which is shorter than what they recommend. I had the rear sight cranked way up to make it work. Didn't like it that far up and didn't like the tall front sight. I just replaced it with Dawson's .210 in the front. It works but I had to crank the rear sight down to its absolute lower limit. Irritating. However, it works for me. Good luck. MHearn
  13. 11 lbs. Atlanta arms. 147 sub sonic ammo. No problems
  14. The thumb safety seems a bit high on the pistol. I don't engage it. It hasn't been an issue in practice. I don't notice it. I had the same question about removing it. You would of course need a replacement pin that fit the space. A friend of mine solved the problem by taking a dremmel tool and cutting the ears of the safety off flush with the frame. A bit extreme but it worked.
  15. Love it. Some trigger work and a new front sight. Draw. Sight picture. Pull. 400 rounds of practice for $24.00 versus $104.00 with the 9mm.
  16. My gut tells me that if there is an optic on this hypothetical "battle" rifle, it is more likely to be an Acog, Eotech, Aimpoint, or Elcan vs a $3,000 zip whooie 1-6 scope. Just a gut feeling.
  17. Welcome. I agree. I love the EOTech but most folks are going for more power. Great discussion pinned at the top of this section. Check it out. Low Power Optics For me. The Elcan Spectre DR 1 power or 4 power. Good luck. Hope you enjoy the sport. MHearn
  18. Young Manufacturing Lightened Bolt. 12.5 inch barrel. Carbine gas. XM 193 and Atlanta Arms 55 grn. 3.75 turns.
  19. Nice discussion. Enjoyed it. Might want to duck. Its seldom appreciated when you post anything that disagrees with "the others". MHearn
  20. Hurley. Good luck. David puts on a great match as you know. Can't make it. Hope to be at the Fall match. MHearn
