Ammo was kept warm prior to firing so temperature was not a factor.

Are you still running this load and liking it? I've got an X5 on the way and a ton of

Clean Shot. TIA.

I'm running 3.6 gr at 1.1" with a black bullets 135gr and its been running 128PF, seems pretty decent but I am planning on switching to 125's from gallant so I'll see what it takes for that to make power. I'm guessing it'll be just shy of 4 grains

Still running it. A little Smokey at times but not to bad. I really like the way it shoots.

Anyone seen any reverse temp sensitivity?

Could be lot to lot differences, or Chrono acting up. Checked speed on some at about 98° and was down from 130-132 last fall to 124 ☹️

I chronoed my .40 major loads this morning in AZ at 95 degrees and didn't notice a large difference in PF compared to 65 degrees or so.  My loads usually come in about 171 PF and I had most around 170-171PF today (one oddball came in at 168). I can't speak to colder temps as we rarely get them here.

I run it for 40 major as well and I have been getting a consistent 174 PF with 5 grains and I bumped it to 5.1 and was getting 177 PF in Alaska at 45 degrees and the same down in Florida at IPSC nats at 95 degrees and a ton more humidity. I'll probably stick with the 5.0 load since I don't need to beat my gun up that much.

My general shooting load for CS is the same as it was when I loaded it as the original #2.  4.0 gr. behing a 124 gr. lead/coated bullet in 9mm is my standard shooting load. I cant tell you how many thousands of that load I have loaded and shot. It ill get you in the ball park and you can adjust from there.

I'm using the same charge behind a 125 gallant seated at 1.1"

Any word on metering in a hornady or Dillon case activated powder drop? I have a friend up here that complained about there being a lot of powder fling but that could be due the the Dillon shell plate snapping into position

i exclusively use clean shot for my 40 load and it is a very fine powder that can make a mess quickly. i use a dillon 1050 and once i switched to the TNT shell plate it removed alot of the fling but also put the arredondo stabilizer it brought it to zero.  its a very consistent powder that meters very well so it was worth the extra stuff to keep it from spilling everywhere. once i made those switches loading shooters world ultimate pistol for 9 major was also much cleaner and less of a headache to clean

i did a lot of temperature testing with clean shot and ultimate pistol and it seems to be very consistent in most temperatures.  i noticed a slight fall off once when it was 108 outside and it was in the sun all day but only 2PF difference and that could have been me cooking it in the barrel.  Seems to hold up pretty well otherwise

I've been running 3.9gr of Titegroup for my 9mm Berrys FMJ 124gr loads with Federal Match Primers at 1.1735 OAL and they make 136PF in a 5" barrel. I've got a pound of Cleanshot to try and I'm trying to figure out how the cleanshot matches up. Does anybody know how the 2 powders match up?
