I’m using the Dillon size/decap die. I ordered the FM Arms Prime Time and hold down for swage station and the level 10 hold down for the priming station yesterday.

Apparently it just needed a thicker zip tie. This morning I decided to try a couple different ones and after switching to this one I was able to load 100 rounds with no issues!!! Maybe Dillon should throw a zip tie in the box.

I set up the swage station using crimped cases adjusting until it would seat a primer. Brass is from a private training range and is 100% once fired Federal. It loads great on my 650. I do have a cut-away case ordered for easier swage set up. Seating depth on the rounds that the primer seats straight are to the correct depth. I have run the press at different speeds observing the slide and all primers appear to be seated in the slide correctly.

I recently purchased a new 1100 after 25 years with a 550 and 650 with the plan to automate it in the future. I’m loading 9mm using roll sized Federal once fired brass and CCI primers. Right from the start it’s crushing primers sideways into the pocket at about a 20 % rate. No issues with primers feeding into the slide from the tube. I tried the zip tie on the primer arm trick from YouTube and that helped some but did not eliminate the problem, still crushed 4 out of 50. I disassembled, cleaned, and lubed and watched all the Dillon videos to ensure everything is adjusted properly. Any other ideas?

The safest route would be to break in first then make changes. That way if you have any issues they will be easier to chase down since you know it’s not from any changes you made. That being said, I’m guilty of not always doing things the safe way.

I tried to buy one and they won’t ship to Alaska. I even offered to pay extra. Dumb.

I would never have even thought that different reticles in the same sight would be an issue but if they wanted to take it to that level of stupid, then you shouldn't be able to change the intensity of the dot either. Sights with different reticles such as EOTECHs have been used on PCC's since its inception so I don't see why it would be an issue on a pistol

I had the same problem recently. I disassembled the primer assembly and did a thorough cleaning then lubricated per Dillons instructions and that fixed the problem.

The less that’s specified the more freestyle it is.

Anyone have an update on these? Thinking of picking one up but gun store counter person couldn’t tell me what optic pattern it is. From what I could find out it started out with the Doctor footprint but now has the Riton footprint which might be the same as the RMR. Never heard of Riton before I started down this rabbit hole.

My Grandson is 7 and will shoot his third Steel Challenge match next week. We bowered the gun in the picture but since then I have put together one that fits him better. On the way home from the first match he asked me if we could practice, talk about a proud Grandpa, I smiled for days.

I grip it pretty much the same way I do a rifle or PCC. I have my hand out there towards the end of the rail, thumb over the top and index finger pointed towards the target, but don't have arm completely straight with elbow locked like I see some do.

Same thing, since the Clinton primer scare I have stayed well stocked with primers. Some may call it hoarding, I don't care, I vowed to never be caught short again and it has served me well.

Video is for 3 gun training but it does address empty table starts at about 1:50 to 2:40. He briefly explains why he racks by grasping the slide vs using the optic. I started using the optic to rack a couple years ago but went back to grasping the front of the slide after a short while. Do what works best for you. The timer will tell.

I went to last years match and had a great time. If they held one this year I’d definitely go.

I get a lot of brass at work that comes from Federal and American Eagle .223 and 5.56 55 grain FMJ ammo and almost all of it is under the minimum trim length.

Learning to switch to support side to shoot can be accomplished with training and during a stage can be incorporated into your movement. It's still most likely to take more time depending on the stage but based on your earlier post that doesn't appear to be option. In the winter my club shoots indoors and all shots must go into the back bullet trap so really hard leans are common. Sometimes I have to switch shoulders because it's the only way I'm going to hit the target, but most can be engaged with the side dot. I have the advantage of having shot an open rifle with one for years, so it was nothing new. Whether or not it's something you need vs want is up to your needs but as with everything else it's just a matter of training to become proficient with it. I use the JP mount on my open rifle and PCC and it puts it right where I like.

At last years PCC/Pistol 2 gun nationals there were targets out around 100 yards. In anticipation of this zeroed my PCC at 50 yards and trained out to 125. I didn't have any problem getting hits but there were plenty of people that did.
