galt11
Can anyone confirm if there are holsters out there that will hold both a Glock 34 and 17 (not at the same time)? I would like to purchase a holster for Production but am unsure if I will be using my 34 or 17, but may also use the gear for other types of shooting. I tried contacting some of the manufactures about this but got some shall we say unsure or conflicting answers. Has anyone tried this and knows it will work? Thanks Adam
HoMiE
If it’s closed at the bottom, get it for the G34 and the G17 will work. I use a bladetech G34 holster for both.
Beef15
The overwhelming majority of holsters retain the firearm by the trigger guard, the frame and therefore trigger guard on a 17 and 34 are identical. As HoMIE said, get the 34 model or a completely open muzzle one and you'll be fine.
galt11
That is what I suspected and as Beef15 mentioned, the frames are identical and as long as you had the longer version of the holster, it should work. However, as I said, I spoke to a couple of manufacturers who said no chance. Wonder if they just wanted to sell two holsters. Adam

galt11
Sounds good, I guess I will have to be on the lookout for a new holster. I am leaning toward the bladetech with maybe a Boss hanger. Adam

perttime
Race holster perfectly legal in IPSC Production. IPSC doesn't restrict what kind of holster you can use. In most divisions it does restrict where you can have it on the belt.

DJD
Definitely buy for a 34. A 34 in a 17 holster will have the muzzle showing at the bottom. I’ve ran a blade tech for almost 5 years and love it.

BASTi.GWAPo
I use Safariland holster 568-49 and the Safariland USPSA-KIT. They’re all legal for USPSA Production Division.
MrPan
If you plan on getting a retention holster you can get safariland als for a g34 and it will fit a g19 g17 or g34
pcs352
The Safariland als system is a pretty intuitive locking system and the 34 holster will work on the 17 as others have said. With some training the retention won’t slow you down. It’s considerably safer for 3 gun as well...no pistoleros falling out while you’re doing gymnastics. Jakobi
I bought a Bladetech for my G35 (same as G34) and it will fit any smaller sized Glock. Part of the beauty of Glocks.
pskys2
If it's Kydex you can also open the closed portion at the bottom. Did that so my STI would fit into my M&P Blade Tech. Worked well.

Yup i do plenty of dry fire with it and it doesn't slow me down but keeps the gun planted when I'm in full sprint
