Many years ago a buddy asked if I wanted to go to the range and test out some of his toys.  He was a European Class 3 weapons guy and loved the AK and Uzi carbines a lot.

While you have to respect their reliability, I am not a fan of the quality or feel of any of them.  I know it is a personal thing, but the (full auto) Uzi carbine was fun but it felt like a farm implement to shoot.  It felt rickety and cheap, although it worked flawlessly.  The AK's were slightly better, but similar in the impression that I got.  I will take any invitation to shoot full-auto stuff, but these (AK/UZI) are not my cup of tea.  That does not mean that they are not good "tools".  I do own a Saiga shotgun and, even though I have resolved many of my complaints with an M-4 stock and various American aftermarket parts, trigger, etc,, I am still lukewarm with it.

No it seems to be a fairly slow cyclic rate. The aks are too though

It's hard to tell since they alter the playback speed so much.
