CTJer
So, I’m gearing up to start 3 Gun next season. I picked up a M3K off of someone who never ended up getting to shoot. Along with the shotgun, he threw in a couple Taccom 8S4 sport series caddies. Should i learn to load with these or sell and start with some dual loads? i suppose i could try ‘em out, but i know it’s going to be a sorry sight. I do have about 4 months till any matches come, so i could just keep practicing i guess. Opinions from those who have been there?
TonytheTiger
Quads. You'll end up there, why start somewhere else?
sonex128
You can load duals with the 8S4 caddies. I do it all the time since I don’t have quads down yet. Brian
tattooo
Quads for sure....fastest method IMO
MaddHatter
You have the caddies and 4 months. Quads for sure.
CTJer
As i typed that out, I figured that would be the way to go. Guess i should belt them up and start practicing.
Jmoreno88
Personally I'd go straight for quads. Takes a little learning but not bad. Quads=fast or fail. Duals=reliable but a bit slower. Someone that can throw duals perfect will be faster than someone that sucks at quads so pick one and give it a go. I started with duals and wished I had saved the money and went straight to quads. Dan Sierpina
Quads are fast if all the shells get into the gun. Learn as many methods as you can, no one is best for all matches or situations.

Searchnman
Quads are the way to go. You will look like a retarded ape for a while but you will get it and it will be the way to go. Continuous practice helps.
ChadVanBrunt
I started with dual loading for a week or two to get used to the motion of putting the rounds in the gun before having to juggle the extra two shells. I think this is the easiest way and I got to reliable quads in just a few weeks this way.
SeattleDude
Learn Quads right away. There is no reason to learn duals. Also learn Weak Hand loading. Way faster!
AngelDeVille
I'm going to be starting out learning quad loading. I just need to find a rig I can afford. What's the suggested set up? Number of rounds available etc.... Would a strong hand 8 and a weak hand 8 be enough?
DVC502
Learn both however most quad loaders I see still have issues in matches they run flawless while doing videos on YouTube in the living room but when it counts there always seems to be issue But also find what works for you

Taccom 8S4's are very affordable They are still a bit pricey, but I have spent more money on dumber things... i ended up up with the 20 round chest rig, if I don't like it it will be easy enough to convert it to two belt rigs. In comparison to other brands they are roughly half price but I hear you
Cuz
In my grand total of 2 matches worth of experience, I ran both. Quads on my weak hand side and duals on my strong side. I found I am much smoother and faster in my basement than I am on the range...
fatjoe123111
The best way to load is the way you can do it in a match. I can quad load very when I’m at home. But put me in a match and running I mess it up. So quad loading is faster but practice a lot so you can be smooth at a match.
sbfcolina2
If you can load quads you can load duel. So use quads
