Siberia
I've been shooting my new TS .40 for a couple of months now. Upgraded to fiber optic front sight and extended safety. The next upgrade are the grips. I have large hands and want to keep the factory mag well (for now). What are your recommendations for good TS .40 grips for large hands and factory mag well? Siberia
Good tip about the trimming. Thanks!
kitestir
Cz custom large magwell doesn't reduce your grip area like the cz magwell does. I switched to the CZ custom large on my Czechmate for the extra grip room.
assaultthesalt
Buy regular CZ 75 grips from VZ and just trim the bottom with a Dremel.....that's what I did for my TS.
Siberia
Cz custom large magwell doesn't reduce your grip area like the cz magwell does. I switched to the CZ custom large on my Czechmate for the extra grip room. If I get the CZC large magwell, will the full size aluminum black thick grips (these or these) fit or will they need to be trimmed? CZC says the large magwell needs the ultra thin aluminum grips but I have large hands and prefer thicker grips.
kitestir
Full size grips are too long and would need to be trimmed. The Cz custom magwell requires medium grips and the Cz USA magwell requires a short grip. Full size grips would only work without a magwell or trimmed to fit. adamge
It's very easy to trim any of the aluminum CZ 75/TS grips to fit the TS's magwell. Can be done with any belt sander.
MRevolutionIX
Trimmed SP01 rubber grips: Was it just rubber material that was trimmed or was some of the metal insert needing to be trimmed as well? Im thinking about doing this. Thanks. Edited September 9, 2015 by MRevolutionIX

tha1000
I like the rubber grips for my CZ 75's and my big mitts... I have a spare set for my TS, but haven't gotten around to trimming them up. I need to do that.
huskerlrrp
I like to trim the plastic grips down, coat them with epoxy and sprinkle them with silicon carbide. Then they are like contoured grip tape. I also like the aggressive VZ grips but they aren't as ergonomic as plastic or rubber.
Lior
Is there a surefire way of building epoxy on the factory rubber grips with enough retention to be feasible for competitive purposes?
kneelingatlas
Is there a surefire way of building epoxy on the factory rubber grips with enough retention to be feasible for competitive purposes? I would start with factory plastic grips for that.
tha1000
Just rubber How thick is the metal plate? I am assuming I would have to cut into this to fit them with the Czechmate magwell??
TA338
Dremel with a cut wheel is enough for the plate inside the grip
