3-Gun Nation Pro Series Results

Recommended Posts

There are six pro matches this year just like you saw online.

Six guys with two ultimately moving on to the 50k Shootoff. Lots if coverage for each shooter for one episode.

It's a TV show first and foremost....

I want to see how that star works! Lol.

I'd love to shoot one, if only I could stop laughing.

That "Death Star" is no joke. Almost always a different presentation. Kalani and I spent a lot of time on stage 1. Mainly that target. Paid off.

Vid of Jansen and said "Death Star"

That star did some damage this past weekend.

3-Gun Nation Pro Series & Lady Pro Series
2015 Match & Television Format

To move this sport into a larger viewer acceptance, 3-Gun Nation will make the following amendments to the Pro Series events - creating an even more dynamic television experience and viewer engagement.

56 QUALIFIED COMPETITORS. 8 EVENTS. 7 COMPETITORS PER EVENT.

The 2015 3-Gun Nation Pro Series will feature 8 events in total and 56 qualified shooters. 7 of the 56 Pro Series competitors will be invited to each match. The Lady Pro Series will feature 2 events in total and 14 qualified shooters. Each match, Pro and Lady Pro, will feature a brand new heat of 7 competitors.

Each match will feature four stages of fire. All 7 competitors will shoot Stage 1. Only the top three will automatically advance to Stage 2. The remaining four competitors will then shoot an Eliminator stageproviding one more shot for one additional competitor to advance. On Stage 2, the top two will advance, plus one more from the Eliminator. Finally, on Stage 3, one competitor will automatically advance, to be joined with one more competitor via the Eliminator. Then the final two competitors will compete on the final Stage 4 for the win and events grand prize. At each of the 8 Pro Series and 2 Lady Pro Series matches, the same 4 stages will be replicated at each event, providing a television narrative to run through the entire season. For example, in Match #1, Competitor X ran stage 1 in 32.33, etc.

The top two shooters from each event will be invited to the season-ending championship to compete for the $50,000 grand prize and the title of 3-Gun Nation Champion. There will be 16 Pro Series competitors (the top two from each qualifying event) and 4 Lady Pro Series competitors total at this Championship match.

Competitors will now be required to only attend one Pro Series match, and the Championship if they should so qualify.

The 2015 Lady Pro Series will work in the same fashion, however the series will feature 14 shooters over two events (2 episodes; top 4 ladies advance to championship episode).

To avoid elimination, each competitor must make the cut to advance to the next stage. Based on 2014 rankings, each match will feature a new group of shooters based on their series ranking from the previous season. Match rosters will be formulated based on 2014 standings, before adding in all Pros returning or advancing into the Pro Series via the Qualifier. For example, Horner, ranked #1, goes to Match 1. Garcia, ranked #2, fills into match 2, etc. The #9 seed, Norris, fills back into Match #1, and so on. All Qualifiers will fill into the Match rosters based on order of finish in the Qual Match.

A competitors 3GN Pro Series season will be on the line each and every time he/she steps into the shooting box. Was their performance good enough? In the case of a catastrophic equipment malfunction (gun jam), shooters are ultimately forced into the Eliminator for their last chance to shoot and advance. In the Eliminator, multiple competitors will square off for one available slot to stay alive creating intense shooting pressure, dynamic competition, and high drama for 3GN fans.

THE NEW & IMPROVED 2015 3-GUN NATION TELEVISION

To advance the sport of 3-Gun and 3-Gun Nation TV into more households across the country, 3-Gun Nation TV will now feature the following significant enhancements in entertainment and production value:

EACH EPISODE HAS A DIFFERENT WINNER
Each of the 7 competitors will be interviewed and profiled in their respective episode. Back stories will be produced on each shooter to give the audience a connection to his or her success or failure, thus setting the stage for a viewer connection for the rest of the event. Remember, each Pro Series event - and episode - will feature a brand new batch of 7 competitors.

Each competitor will be interviewed in a confessional (private) setting about each course. They will discuss the nuances of each course of fire and how it relates to their personal skill set. They will also discuss the other competitors in the match - the good, the bad, the in-between. Other topics may include equipment, ammunition, training and more. The interview bytes will be played prior to their respective runs as they advance through the match.

Each episode will be one hour long.

Each season will be comprised of 11 original episodes airing over 26 weeks (3/4 quarter).

Each episode will feature play-by-play commentary from 3GN VP Chad Adams and a color analyst. Each episode will also feature commentary from a special guest Pro Series competitor - in the studio.

Each episode will feature special segments, training tips and gear reviews.

The Championship event will follow the same episodic formula. However, $50,000 cash is at stake.

10 EVENTS. 1 CHAMPIONSHIP
EVERY RUN ON EVERY STAGE HAS DRAMATIC MEANING
Also for 2015, 3GN is waiving all match fees for 3GN Pro and Lady Pro competitors. Travel to Tulsa one time, and shoot for the chance at a big payday and a berth in the 3GN Championship Shoot-Off.

Requirements: While the match fee is being waived, a refundable $1,500 security deposit is due, paid in full, by Jan. 15, 2015. Because of the new format with limited fields, it is imperative to production of the television show that all 3GN Pros appear and participate on their pre-match and match dates. If a competitor fails to appear, for any reason, the security deposit will then be forfeited and applied to expenses paid for that competitors replacement. As such, a field of alternates will be established from the 3GN Qualifer match. All competitors must confirm their appearance in an upcoming match two weeks prior to said event.
Also, match requirement for all competitors will extend beyond shooting the match this season. Prior to match day, all competitors will be required to appear the day before for pre-match interviews, beauty shots, action-shooting video, etc. All competitors will also be required to participate in all post-match interviews and photography sessions.

Several of last years Pros who earned a spot decided not to return for various reasons. Not sure why Joel didn't come back but Sweeney has the best excuse. Finished last year, including a really impressive performance at the World Shoot, with a busted hand. He had to get it fixed and let it heal this year. I'm just too big of a wuss to come back.

Thanks for the info this clears up a lot of questions. Where will this air for TV is it going to a different sports network or will it stay where it is and will it also air on the web?

Thanks,

George

Same stations, pursuit sportsmanship,& the blaze. I think it starts in June or July. It dropped down to only 30 minutes due to having two big sponsors (FNH abd Stag) drop out.

Interesting how they stacked the groups. Usually being the #1 seed gives you an advantage, but now it looks like being the 8th seed was the ticket to the easiest group :)

That's true in theory, I was a little surprised when I saw how they were going to match up the seeds, but the way things shook out I don't think I ended up in the easiest group. Taran is one of the last guys I'd pick to go up against on this style of stage and there's talent down deep in the #8 group.
