Things have no inherent color. The color you perceive is the light wavelengths being reflected which is dependent on both the object and the source of light. In a photograph, it is also dependent on the camera lens and the film or imaging mechanism. IOW, depending on any number of factors, anything can look like it is almost any color. So, America, quit arguing about a photograph of a badly lit dress taken with a cheap cell phone. It doesn't freaking matter what you think it looks like!
