  1. 1st Venom failed little over 10K. 2nd is the replacement from Vortex and it's still running.
  2. Similar experience on durability. Have one (for "Practice" and local matches) with over 20K+. It is currently set up with Apex trigger, tungsten weights glued into the cavity inside the back strap, Vortex Venom and Streamlight tlr-1. I believe it weighs 35+1 oz unloaded when using Henning's +3 basepads. The "match gun" has 12K+. It's set up with Apex Trigger, TLR1 and CMore RTS2. It also has the Brass backstrap from Taylor Freelance and that gets the weight to 38+ oz.(Almost as much as a SP01) I run 135 grain coated bullets.
  3. I can get 19 in. I can get it to seat with some effort but, it will not feed properly unless I cut a coil off the mag spring.
  4. Primary Machine did a CZ P09 milled for a Vortex/Burris pattern for me few years back. I believe they have recently got out of milling Customer provided slides. There are others that still provide this type of service. I think the challenge with the CZ slides that have the firing pin block is that you cannot have the Optic milled as low as slides without fpb.
  5. Take out the magazine brake (part #24 in CZ manual),flatten it out and put it back in.
  6. You will want to check the total mag length with the extensions. Some of the polymer extensions are invitation into Open.
  7. I believe so ... But, when I ordered the pads couple years ago, the CZC site recommended a spring and follower to go with the pad for maximizing capacity. While their site no longer provides that function, the image and description matches what I got.
  8. CZ Custom Basepads with 10 coil spring and follower setup will get you 23+1. It will not lock the slide after last round. (Originally set up for P09 Carry Optics gun)
  9. Just run the 19 rmr in open at couple local matches and compare your scores against othe CO shooters. If you like it enough, you can pick up a g19 lower or build a dedicated CO gun on a full sized frame.

    New CZC Gun

Will it be available in .40 with Single Action Only Trigger?
  11. New Fixed Sights 1mm f/o front/plain black rear Check to see if the newer mags fit it. Then shoot it for a while before deciding if you want to put comp hammer and other stuff to it.

    SP01 For carry optic

I started with a Burris FF3 8moa on a Springer mount on a SP01 Tac. (Inexpensive sight with a life time warranty on a $50 mount) After a year, had the dot milled onto a P09. Reason for selecting P09, mostly aesthetics as the fatter slide of the Omega Polymer guns seemed to look better with the dot than on steel frame CZs. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  13. To complete the thought... You get a slightly lighter gun than SP01, with a high grip like SP01. Also have the ability to make it a decocker or safety, depending on your friend's preference. Finally, you can add the CGW kit at a later time after she gets comfortable with her new gun. It will not match your Shadow but it sounds like you are looking for a solution that will fit a budget. 14. 75B Omega with better sights and springs Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  15. Thank you for that response. Since I plan to use them at indoor matches some of the time, dropping them on concrete floor is a concern for me. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  16. The choices seem to be CZC Flush Fit, CZC with bevel for magwell or Springer. They all cost about the same, so which one would you recommend for CO? Does the flush fit bases have a potential to pinch your pinkie during reload? What are the pros and cons of Springer vs CZC designs? Has anyone tried both? Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  17. I put them aside and give them away. There is a local shooter that uses them for his Steel Challenge loads. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  18. At the Single-Stack/Revolver Nationals, one of the turning mechanisms was broken, I'm not sure if that had any bearing on the decision. Thank you -- that would seem to be the reasonable explanation. Maybe I won't have to practice my weak hand shooting.
  19. I predominantly use 16 round Mec-Gar tubes, that you can find for around $20 each. For matches I really care about, I keep a set with Springer Aluminum basepads. For "locals" (especially indoor matches), I have an older set of Mec-Gars with rubber pads. Also have a few SP01 18/19 round mags that I pull out for the rare occasion of shooting Limited-minor. If you have some tall sights, you will want to make sure that the gun with the mags of your choosing fits inside the specified dimensions. My SP01 with F/O front, Fixed Comp Rear, VZ Grips and Springer Basepads fit the box and made weight at last year's Production Nationals. Regarding Magazines failing to drop free, I took out the Mag-brake and straightened it out. Also cut off the hook/tab at the bottom of the brake before I put it back in. (I think you can also buy a straight piece of metal to replace the mag-brake from CZ-Custom.) That addressed the issue of Mag-brake working as designed.
  20. Also only 19 stages for Production Nationals? What happened to the 20th? No pneumatic turner standards for Nationals at PASA?
  21. Trays for small parts when cleaning/disassembling guns.
