tk71
I reloaded 45 acp with 230 grn xtreme over 4.8 grns of titegroup, 1.250 oal . According to my lee manual and hodgdon 4.8 max 1.200 oal on lead and fmj.I worked up from 4.4 and found 4.8 had the best accuracy out of my ruger p90.Does anyone use a similar combo is 4.8 ok concerned about being at max. copecowboy22
I load 5.1 Titegroup and a 200 LSWC to 1.258.
Butterpuc
In my 1911 I use 4.3 grains of Titegroup with the 230gr Xtreme RN. I get 172PF with that load. 4.8 sounds a little high
mikeinctown
I found 4.5 was my most accurate so far with blue bullets 230gn. There was quite a bit of muzzle flash though so I'm trying 700x, bullseye, and unique instead.hoping bullseye fits the bill.
datguy
I use 4.5gr titegroup with xtreme 230gr rn.
Breacher217
I use 4.7g of WST with the Xtreme 230gr loaded to 1.26 OAL and Winchester LPP. I get 178 PF with this load but the recoil is very mild. It is mungo to load for .
SeattleDude
My go to load with TiteGroup and 230gr Xtreme RN Plates is 4.7gr at 1.245 oal. Shoots around 810fps out of my 5 inch Dan Wesson Valor. Loaded over 6000 rounds with this recipe. Not a single problem. I dont like bunny fart loads. I just scored bunch of Win 231 from Powder Valley and now working on new load. Looks like many modern books are waaaaay concervative with their numbers for Win 231. I am at 5.7gr now and it feels and flys just about right. Very clean burn and closer to factory loads. (lyman lists 5.2 start and 5.8 max for WIN231)

ArrDave
I use 4.5gr titegroup with xtreme 230gr rn. I've used this as well, it's a little heavier in hand than 231 (which I prefer)
xracer
I'm right in there as well, 230 gr Extremes with 4.5-4.6gr of titegroup at 1.255".
racknrider
4.6g of TiteGroup with a 230g extreme at 1.250 makes 172 PF in my Range Officer and 160 PF in my S&W 625.
ironbran140
Using 4.7gr of TG with xtreme 230gr played round nose bullets. 1.25 OAL. Works well for a g21, g41, and a Remington r1
ArrDave
I used 4.5 gr TG with Xtreme 230 RN loaded up to 1.25. It hovered around in the low 170's for me out of a 5"
textopcat
4.8g TG X-treme 230gn RN OAL= 1.21 4.8g TG X-treme 225gn FN OAL = 1.16 5.2g TG X-treme 200fn FN OAL=1.16 5.0g International X-Treme 230gn RN OAL=1.21 These seem to be most accurate in my Regent 1911 5"
textopcat
200g Xtreme FN seem to have feeding issues in both Regent and Ruger if not using heavy crimpt and the longest possible OAL that will chamber without touching the lands. Seamastersw
I've had good luck with 4.8gr of Bullseye or 4.6gr of Titegroup with that bullet at 1.250"
