  1. I just finally got around to shooting mine this past week. I like it better than the polymer, and it seems to be more accurate too.
  2. 147gr coated FP 3.15gr N320 1.135” (Glock 34) PF 129 avg (low 127PF, high 131PF
  3. My favorite is 147 with VV N320
  4. Italian, even after 1 year they are still no easier to load that 23rd round.
  5. yep, my opinion too, it seems like every KB I have witnessed and read about was a reload from a 550.
  6. I built a couple of ARs many years ago for 3gun, which I have not shot in at least 6 years now. Both rifles are tack drivers, one is 16” and the other 18”, both stainless and medium profile (I guess, that is what it is called, I think they are 0.750”, I can put a caliper in them when I get home). I have been pondering fluting both barrels to reduce weight and repurpose the rifles. Has anyone done this aftermarket with success?

    AXG Grip?

Wow. Very nice looking setup. I just purchased an AXG Scorpion, it get so nice in hands and have been considering setting up a competition version of the AXG. I really like your setup.
  8. I easily get 23 rounds in my Glock mags with TTI base pads
  9. I have TTI base pads on all 3 of my Carry Optics pistols. M&P CORE, Glock 34 MOS, and now Sig P320. The Sig mags are much much much harder to get 23 rounds in the magazine. The M&P is by far the easiest, with 23 rounds in the magazine, you can still compress the rounds another ~2mm, super easy to load. The Glock is still way easier than the Sig, once there are 23 rounds in the magazine, you can just barely compress the rounds by maybe 1mm. With the Sig magazines, I had to press harder than ever to get the 23rd round in. I can get it to load in the P320 on a closed slide, surprisingly with ease, but I have not had a chance to see how well the gun functions with these mags loaded to 23 rounds. Forgot to add these are 21 round magazine tubes with +1 TTI basepads. Currently, I have 3 P320 mags loaded to 23 rounds just sitting in the safe, I hope this will help.
  10. Do you let the springs rest in the bottom of the +1 base pads?
  11. I am in the crowd using OEM Glock mags with TTI extensions for 23+1. TTI is who I use, I am sure that Taylor, Henning, whoever are great and I recommend you use the ones you want. Where I differ from some of the posts above is, I reload from the belt with standard OEM Glock 17 round magazine. Very rarely have I needed more than 10 rounds with my reload. If there were 2 primary areas of engagement, when the first area may fire 8-12 shots and the second area fires 18-20 shots, then I would plan to reload with another 23 round magazine. I have small hands, so reloading the standard mags are easy and quicker for me.
  12. I am pretty sure I use a 12lb spring in my 1911 45 major, no issues once I switched.
  13. I have recently noticed on the Sig website, there are different sizes of Legion grips... Is this the circumference? Does Springer or Gray Guns have different sizes too? or what is their sizes compared to the Legion? https://www.sigsauer.com/txg-grip-module.html
  14. I am a new P320 owner, I have been a huge Glock fan boy for years and use TTI +6 (9mm) base pads on my Glock mags. I keep seeing lots of people on this thread saying they are using a +5 TTI base pad, so you are only running 22 round magazines, 22 + 1 ? Then with regards to the 21 round mags, it seems a +2 TTI will get you 23+1, which is what I am used to with my 17 round Glock mags. Also, before I purchase more mags, do I just need to hold out and wait until some 21 round magazines come available?
  15. I haven't shot a match in a few years now, but occasionally browse the forum for interesting topics... this has been one of my favorites I have come across in a very long time. Congratulations on your journey, I hope to see more from you in the future.
  16. Thank you for the link to that discussion, I had not seen that before. The first thing I did was go to Appendix D7, but wasn't clear about the "grip panels" statement... and your link clarified that. Thanks again.
  17. is this legal in carry optics? I see that the Legion grip module is.
  18. I performed a load development experiment many years ago. Varying OAL and powder charges over many ranges, creating my own bell curves. The powder of choice for me, which created the most accurate, regarding measured variables and accuracy was VV N320. Ultimately, for my gun (G34), 3.15gr of VV N320 with 147gr coated bullets loaded to 1.135" OAL was the best I could get regarding accuracy and consistency of PF. It was very consistent between 127-129PF with a SD 2 fps. It did take quite a bit of effort to do this, and most people don't care that their loads are that accurate, but I was pleased with it.
  19. I left north AL a little more than 5 years ago now, so I can't tell you anything about the newer places to shoot. I can tell you follow the advice of the Great and Wise Jim Watson, he will guide you. My favorite competition were the Rocket City Practical Shooters USPSA matches, they also host 3-gun and Steel Challenge (at least they used to when I was there).
  20. Yes, it was well worth it. I installed the UniqueTek Micrometer Powder Bar Kit many years ago. http://uniquetek.com/product/T1231
  21. Me personally... there are lots of ads I would not want to see, but I was thinking more along the lines of highly political ads. I would hope that "whoever" is in charge of determining what ads this website would see, understands our demographic.
  22. With regards to what kind of ads will be shown as banners, the forum may not get to choose what ads are shown... I don't know that, never researched it. Also, I don't know that many gun related businesses have a big budget for advertising. We may see ads we don't want to see.
  23. I think at one time or another most of us have been in the same position you are in. I personally am in that position right now! I have not considered selling anything. I have a Dillon 1050 w/MBF (plus other aftermarket goodies) that has not cycled a round of ammo in over 2 years. I am not shooting much anymore, but I have 1000's and 1000's and 1000's of rounds already loaded. Re-Marriage, work, other hobbies, etc... are also my reasons. But I know I love shooting and at some point in time I will return to shooting as my primary hobby, and if not so what... Heck, I am still buying stuff! As I see great deals I take them up on it, because of the situation I am in, I can have patience. I am looking for another gun safe right now, LOL Last thought, you may not be into shooting right now or for the past year... at least do what I did, reload A LOT OF AMMO. Do not go out and buy it. Heck, make it you have the equipment. That way you will have a stock pile that could potentially last you 5-10+ years, store away your reloading gear and enjoy the little bit of shooting you may do.
  24. If the rules change was being made to help relax issues with modifications, then just make the rule state "there is no weight limit". Why 59oz, why not 60oz, why not 70oz ...
