  1. Just passed the 1000 round mark with my HP Edge and it's great. Don't really have much to compare it to (other than glocks) but I can say I definitely don't miss the 2400 I paid for it. I only get to shoot once a month so it's nice to have someone that runs as good as my edge.
  2. I own an hp edge in 40 and it is AMAZING. reliable. Trigger is great. I'll be getting a 9mm hp eagle as my next gun.
  3. Just picked up some longshot and Missouri bullet co. 140gr coated heads. Looking forward to tinkering and contributing more to this thread. .40 cal seems like a practical/economical way to shoot open.
  4. After adding a magwell to my G21sf (my limited 10 competition pistol) I found I can't seat the factory mags well enough without real concerted effort -- defeating the purpose of the magwell to begin with! All of the larger +0 magazine base pads are big bucks! I was wondering if anyone had a cheaper alternative to extending the basepad on a 45cal glock mag! I've been thinking about making some myself out of wood and some glue....
  5. Using 4.7gr of TG with xtreme 230gr played round nose bullets. 1.25 OAL. Works well for a g21, g41, and a Remington r1
  6. Unfortunately not. I've heard contradicting stories about extruded powders and the powder drop as well. Kind of curious to see how it'll do. Even if the charge may occasionally be off by .1 give or take, will it make THAT much of a difference in accuracy? I have no hopes of reaching competitive precision shooting levels of accuracy. I just wanna be able to smack a 4inch plate out at 200yd if the stage requires....
  7. All it takes to change the casefeed caliber is the casefeed plate. Small casefeed plate would work for 9. A larger caliber, say 45, would require you to change to the large casefeed plate. You'd just loosen the clutch in the center of the plate, swap plates, torque the clutch to the proper tightness, and go from there. It's a snap.
  8. My 650 throws Titegroup damn near perfectly. Works well for all my pistol cartridges. Admittedly, Titegroup is the only thing I've ever used because that's all I can really find here in Hawaii. so can't speak to the benefits/drawbacks of other powders.
  9. Both great replies! Exactly the kind of stuff I was looking for! I'd be perfectly happy with 2moa, given my skill and the types of bullet heads I got (the cheapest I could manage to find, from Everglades ammo). Thanks a bunch!
  10. Talon Grips have done my gen4 g34 fine. As well as my gen3 g21sf
  11. I've always felt that, if possible, it's best to start with the best than to buy cheap items only to upgrade them later. (I've thrown many a cheap red dot away). If ammo is a concern, id tell him to dry fire and do so a lot. Even with a precision rifle. Practice dry reloads etc.
  12. Currently using 4.1gr of Titegroup with 115gr plated bullets. OAL is 1.06 because that's what works best for my G34 and the guns my family members use for IDPA (a Beretta, Sig, and XD). Haven't done any accuracy tests, but I can say they're good enough to hit the -0 zone.
  13. Hi all. First time poster, long time reader here. I was wondering if anyone had a process they used to develop a good 223 load. I have everything I need to reload .223 (using a Dillon 650, 55gr jacketed bullets along with mixed range brass and Varget). While I know where I should start with regards to OAL and powder charge, I have no idea how to tweak/alter the load for greater accuracy. Any tips? This would be my first time reloading a rifle cartridge. Thanks in advance!!!!
