cvincent
The new Website, Henningshop.com is now allowing ordering of the large frame magwell. The old site still says they are out of stock. I was getting a conefit guide rod and noticed this. I ordered one up, we will see what happens. TDH
Ordered one last night. Asked about getting it in black. Henning emailed back this morning said he only had silver but could coat it in black for a small fee. Glad I'm finally getting one for my limited
Intercooler2
Mine shipped yesterday. Still a wait on panels though.
chowtime
Does the large frame magwell fit with EG's aluminum grips?
hercster
I will be fitting a mag well to my SF Limited Pro. I'm undecided on which one. It's obvious where we need to go for the Henning model. However, where does one buy the Tanfoglio magwell? I tried taking the magwell off my LC to try on the SF LP and it fit. So I will buy one or the other but would like to consider the Tanfo once I know where to buy it.
bayougump
Does the large frame magwell fit with EG's aluminum grips? You have to get the small frame grips from EG to fit a Tanfo with a magwell
yellow
Does the large frame magwell fit with EG's aluminum grips? You have to get the small frame grips from EG to fit a Tanfo with a magwellHuh??? I have EG grips on both my large frame limited custom and my gold custom eric with henning magwells, and I ordered LARGE frame grips!I don't think small frame grips will ever fit a large frame pistol!! Aluminum sp01 shadow grips should fit a small frame tanfoglio, but they do NOT fit a large frame tanfoglio at all! niroth81
Not the small frame grips, the short grips. There are 2 different length of grip, short is what Bayou means.
cvincent
Large frame/custom size is what you want with an HC model with magwell.
BrazeauRacing
Just placed an order for one. I don't even need one, but I wanted to get one while they are available since they are so sought after. It's also an excuse to buy a Limited to install it on. Intercooler2
I received my Magwell today and put it on. Henning was nice in lending me a set of wooden panels until I can get metal. I got it put on, but it doesn't work! To those of you who have these on and working: - On the back portion you will see two notches of aluminum hanging into the magwell opening. These are preventing the mags from sliding in. Are they a file-to-fit kind of thing or was this one machined wrong? - The wood panels move around like nobody's business! Will my Limited panels fit it and why don't they move? - The front portion of the magwell has some jagged flashing. Is that normal or should I file it? - The rear portion of the magwell has some type of buff/machining mark on it... is that normal or should I hit it with something? One last question and that's will any of the Xtreme panels fit this setup and who has them in stock?

hercster
I'm certainly not impressed. Those "nodes" projecting into the path of the magazine are really puzzling and they contradict the whole purpose of the funnel. A little bit of roughness wouldn't bother me too much as the piece is going to take a beating in use anyway. I was about to place an order but will hold on now. I'm still waiting for a lead to where I can purchase the standard Tanfoglio funnel as that's an option for me. I know where to source one in Canada but will be in the US in a few days. bayougump
These are some pics of my Gold Custom that came with a Henning magwell (least I'm pretty sure it's a Henning). I saw no indentations like cooler posted. Possibly could have and they were removed by the previous owner. I've had zero issues of mags fitting in my gun. kneelingatlas
Gump, yours was from the old machinist, if I'm not mistaken Henning moved to a new location this year and either got set up with a new machinist or brought it in house. Obviously something is a little off... I ordered three yesterday so I'll report back once they show up.

Cool, I got one ordered as well, hopefully no machining needed as I don't do that kinda stuff, lol
Intercooler2
Mine was a small frame massaged to the large frame... almost! I'm sending it back tomorrow with the panels and will put the correct one on with Xtreme Silver panels when I get them.

As far as the little ears in the magwell, could it be for small frame gun? Mine will be here Saturday. Will check the fit on my Limited. Intercooler2
It's a small frame Magwell that wasn't machined all the way.
