AikiDale
Well all you production shooters, what do you think of adding Single Stack 1911's to the approved list in the US?

AikiDale
Power factor? 125 The only change I am seeking feedback on would be to change the special condition, line 18, in the Division description which prohibits single action pistols and to add the 1911 SS to the approved pistol list. Thanks for voting!
Caspian_45
Lets see what I would have to remove from Colt Mk IV Series 70 Blaster to be legal. Mag button Mag well Sand off the chekering (didn't come that way) The beavertail has gotta go The ambi saftey has to go Oh yea gotta have the ejection port welded back up Anyone got an old arched mainspring housing I can buy Nah I don't mind smokin' the wide bodies with that ol' Colt. Leave them out of production.
twix
Leave Production alone. You can make L10 SS only if you like. Makes more sense (to me).

Leave them out of production. Nope, sorry --- you can't undo the mods --- you need to buy a new gun. Dale, As I already posted in another thread, sure you can come play. But your specific gun will have to be on the production list --- no generic "single-stack 1911" catch all. It'll have to comply with division requirements regarding allowed modifications, start with the hammer down and use flush fitting mags. How many shooters are going to have the belt space (read as not being circumferentially challenged) to carry eight mags? I have a tough enough time getting to pouch #6...... AikiDale
Nik, it looks like I am just going to have to use my CZ 75 if I ever want to shoot Production,
Dead Buff
Leave the SA guns out of production. If you wanna shoot a 1911 style gun, get the LDA and use that. I think it even comes in a SS.

dirtypool40
I think if you let the Single Stack guns run 8+1 and major, vs. the Prod guns 10+1 and minor, you might have something.
BerettaRacer
No S/A guns in Production. Personally I'd have the 5 lb min trigger pull first shot too, like IPSC.
BSeevers
If you allow single action 1911's in Production that's all you will see. Production is the key to growth and new shooters. It is the division for the "I have to have a $2500 gun to win at IPSC" types. The newbees, in general, have Glocks and Beretta's not 1911's. PS Production is a great division. It has good rules and great participation locally and at majors.

MoNsTeR
Makes no sense. The whole point of Production is a place for DOUBLE ACTION pistols to play.
Merlin Orr
I voted NO - I can shoot my single stack .45 faster - I can reload it faster. I like my Para P18 but my Caspian/STI is easier to shoot - for me. If the SS was allowed I would sell my Para P18 tomorrow.

Gary Stevens
Don't blame me, I didn't have a thing to do with this My vote, not just no, but no way no!!! Within 24 hours it would be just another 1911 division.
Merlin Orr
Within 24 hours it would be just another 1911 division. I think you are very correct! Although a single stack with no magwell is not the easiest thing to reload quickly...
