xagent
Which should I use on an STi Open gun compensator? Loctite 262,271 or 620?
Alan550
Get some of the green "Sleeve Locker" from Brownells. That'll hold it! It's waht many of the Bianchi Cup shooters use for Open gun comps. Alan~^~
Sarge
If the threads are cut right then red should work. Trust me, if the threads are sloppy or out of spec nothing will hold them on!
rishii
I use red 272 High temp, high strength
jpl
Use one of the green ones. 680 is what I use, and if the comp and slide are not touching it will last forever.
Toolguy
The 620 is the strongest one I have found. I once made a tricked out Combat Commander with a 2 port comp that was a slip fit on the barrel with no threads. I tried several different Loctites, none of them would keep it on for a full magazine (7 shots). Finally I used the 620 and it stayed on for years - never came loose. Parallax3D
Loctite 272 is sufficient, but you need to make sure that the threads are PERFECTLY CLEAN AND GREASE/OIL FREE.
Yardbird
620 repeatedly failed on me. 272 has held strong.
j0s3ph
Loctite Green 680. There is a curing process that you have to pay close attention to for it to have a high temperature resistance.

mike g35
I always use 742, I use it on Glock comps all the time. I also use it on my mount screws.
z40acp
When I asked the reps from Loctite they suggested 2760. It is also red and high strength.
