PacMan
Thanks! No change in "allowable scopes" that I can see. Oh well, time to put the Leupold CQ/T back on.

rtr
Why won't they allow Trijicon Accupoint scopes in tactical scope class?
9x45
There is no approved scope list in the 2005 rules, revised 8-29-04 "6.5.3 Tactical class scoped rifles may be equiped with no more than (1) optical sight." http://www.smm3g.com/2005%20SMM3GRules.pdf It sounds like that means any single optical device is legal for tactical. Religious Shooter
Wow! No more scope list for SMM3G.
PacMan
Sorry, my mistake...there is no longer an approved scope list! Yeah!
davidwiz
I am definately going this year. For these fly-away 3-Gun matches, how do you lug all your stuff around at the range? Do you have a cart (that you can fit on the plane) or do you carry around 2 long gun cases plus your pistol/ammo bag?
kellyn
The end of the approved scope rule! It is a glorious day!
davidwiz
Can anyone, please answer my question regarding lugging your stuff around at a fly-away match?
Chuck Anderson
Carry your stuff around. There's normally not a huge amount of walking at SMM. The small bays to the left are close enough you can make a couple trips and the bigs ones? Well just tough it out. It's not worth it to ship a cart. Mickster
Davidwiz Three of us flew to SMM for the first time this year. What worked for me was to just carry the two long guns in the "approved airlines gun case" and a decent gun bag with a shoulder strap for the rest of the stuff. It wasn't a problem, really. Have another gear bag in the rental car for extras like cleaning supplies, knee/elbow pads, whatever you think you'll need. Funny thing about flying to 3-gun matches is that all my personal stufff like socks, undies, shirts, etc takes up only about 10% of my total luggage. uscbigdawg
Like the true Californian that I am, I drove to most of the bays. Find a central spot and then, walk the gear over. After 2-3 stages, move the car. Too much walkin' could hurt my *thumb rest [generic]* foot. Rich
davidwiz
OK, sounds like carrying the rifle/shotgun/pistol and ammo around in its respective case/bag works. Thanks for the replies. -David
ChandlerSniper158
I usually do what Rich says, I usually just drive up close to the stages and carry my stuff over that I need for that perticular stage. It gets to be a pain lugging all that stuff around all day. Keepin it in the truck till I need it is much better. CS#
mhearn
You can't mail it in until December 1, 2004... else they won't accept it. Where does it say this? Or is this just crowd control?
