k9ghost
Just picked up a Bushnell Elite optic with the G2DMR reticle that I plan to mount on a JP LRP-07. I have run LaRue QD mounts on my .223 ARs but was considering a more secure mount for the 07. Is the JP mount a good idea or can you reccomend another. rq375
check the eye relief of your scope at min and max power, I had to go with the Larue SPRE to get the scope forward enough. You can order the Larue mounts in a bolt on configuration instead of the levers.
co-exprs
Pick your poison. They're both good mounts. I move my scopes around quite a bit, so the levers are a must for me. If you will be leaving the scope on one rifle all the time, then the JP will work great. Cheers!
Mike21STI
I have the JP mount on my JP-15, It is well built, I'm happy with it so far.
JesseCJC
You can opt for the VFZ option on LaRue mounts and save yourself 50 bucks
MarkCO
I only run JP mounts. Very high quality, returns to zero when removed and remounted, thermally stable and JP supports the sport. Edited December 12, 2012 by MarkCO
AlamoShooter
I like the American Defense mounts I like that it grips the rail in a wider area and it can be adjusted with out tools Edited December 12, 2012 by AlamoShooter

BlueOvalBruin
Does weight matter? Larues are kinda heavy

gstar
I have the JP on a JP PSC11 and I find that it doesn't offset forward quite as far as I would like for use with my MTAC. It is well made and still works by putting the first two screws forward of the flat top on the upper, but I would prefer to not have to do that. JP customer service assures me that the back three screws will hold it just fine.
Alaskapopo
Does weight matter? Larues are kinda heavy I have not found them to be any heavier than ADM or competitive designs. Pat
Sonoma820
What is not secure about a Larue mount? I have never had one come loose and I use them on a daily basis for work. If the levers are ever considered loose they can be tightened to the point that they may as well be permanent.
tripletapjake
The LaRue mount is what I chose for my LRP-07 and I can't be happier. I use them because I run a 1-6 and Aimpoint Micro for 3Gun and tactical training classes and a 6.5-20 Mark 4 for long range shooting....all in LaRue mounts.... zero them once and you can swap back and forth without having to re-zero....it turns your LRP-07 into a very versatile high performance gun that can be used in very different shooting styles by simply swapping the optic and ammo....
