Who's the Best Bond Girl?

Recommended Posts

You definitely need to watch again Ms. Emma Peel at work..

I love the character of Emma Peel. (Maybe I'll post my Amazon.com review of why The Avengers movie sucked, which entails explaining why the TV series rocked, and why that had so much to do with Diana Rigg as Mrs. Peel.) But Emma Peel and Tracy Draco, despite the fact they were both played by Diana Rigg, are very different characters. Emma could wipe the floor with Tracy without even breaking a sweat.

What was his reply to, "I'm Pussy Galore?" Wasn't it, "Well, of course you are."

What did he say when he met Dr. Goodhead? Something like, "I'll be the judge of that."

I had the hots for Maryam D'Abo for a while. (The Bond girl in the first Timothy Dalton movie.) I think she met kellyn's criteria.

My main bitch is that they stoped giving teh Bond girls cool names. Hell, I know it is politically incorrect but so is blowing up everything in sight and running with tanks through towns. Bring back the cool names!

Does it count as a Bond movie if Sean Connery is not playing the lead? I think not.

Well it sorta does if Pierce Brosnan is playing Bond.....

Getting back to Duane's original question, Dale clarified my choice with the above question. I was torn between Holly Goodhead (Bond Chick in the first Bond Flick I ever saw in a movie theater --- it might have been my first american movie theater expereince; I saw the film about 8 times) and Pussy Galore. It's gotta be Ms. Galore.....

Can anyone guess who it is? OK, she was a villian, but doesn't that count?

They missed at least one whole movie... "Never say Never again" with Sean back again...

Co-stars Kim Basinger and Barbara Carrera

Wan't that the one made outside of the normal studio channels?

Actually I was thinking of the outrageous Ms. Grace Jones, but she's shown on the villain page of "A View To A Kill".

And yes, as "Never Say Never Again" was not produced by Albert "Cubby" Broccoli, it's not considered to be an "official" film in the James Bond series.

Anyway, my vote for best Bond girl goes to Corinne Clery, but probably more because of, er, my fond memories of her role in the "The Story of O", which was produced by Just Jaeckin, the same guy who made the original "Emmanuelle" movie with (sigh) Sylvia Kristal and, and, and ...........

Damn. I think I've suddenly become an ashmatic, coz I'm having a whole lot of trouble breathing ...............

How about Terry Hatcher or Britt Ekland...

Well, yeah! Especially Terri Hatcher. Especially when she is wearing brainy girl glasses.

She has a BA in math, by the way. Both of her parents have PhDs and are professors (Comp Sci and Physics).

Erik, D'Abo is an ok Bond girl but regrettably The Living Daylights was one of the most conservative Bond flicks dealing with the subject of sex. Far too tame. Perhaps it was AIDS or the Reagan years.

D'Abo falls into the "Oh, James" camp. A bit weak and defenseless and not sexually aggressive. Pussy and Sylvia Trench were sexually liberated women, which is why I love them. D'Abo wold never have shown up in Bond's apartment after meeting at the casino.
