In Vermont, the leaves are probably changing during the middle of September, however in West Virginia where the match is, they ususally do not change until the end of September. Things to do for the misses, does she like antiques as they are a whole lot of small shops to hit in downtown Winchester or Martinsburg. There are Civil War battlefields all within an hour drive and some of the most historic of the war. I would suggest the Winchester or Martinsburg Chamber of Commerce.
