A related question for those that have shot the other 3 gun matches at Rock Castle: Any advantage in bringing my Rhino UTV? Or is it easy enough to move around to the various stages in a pickup truck?

Rosin works well, as does a little bit of extra fine lapping compound. I've used both in similar situations.

Nashville (BNA) airport is the closest, about 1 hour from the match via I-65.

Days in at Cave City (270-773-3101)is as close as I have found but some closer may open up I've got a room at the Sleep Inn & Suites in Cave City. For something a little different there is the Wigwam Village

I load .40 S&W (along with .45 ACP, .45 Colt. .38 Special and .357 Magnum) on the SDB. The SDB does not re-size the bottom 1/8" or so of the case, but if the sizing is not screwed all the way into the plate it may not be doing all it can - so check that first. Did the guy's brass start out as new - or used brass? Has it been fired in any other gun? Even though you say its not "glocked" brass if it was fired in a larger chamber you may still need to get the brass fully sized the first time (I use the Redding GRX) so you can run it trough the SDB and have it properly chamber in other chambers.

Unless the fit of the parts is "fall apart loose" you may be able to tighten the junction by peening the edge of the (male) dovetail and applying some red Loc-Tite. If you decide to got the solder route these products are sold to darken the solder line

Larry Potterfield has some in stock (I bought 2 more yesterday, just in case ya know...) They are about 1mm shorter. And the Dawson pads don't fit on them. Which mags are 1mm shorter? Para or MecGar?

Welcome to the club. The first one I took to a happy new home in the woods 2 miles down the road. A week later its happening again (and of course the wife swears it was the same guy back again) so this one went to a happy home in the sky.

Factory choke tube? Regardless of what that tube is marked (Cylinder Bore) your tube is adding .012" of constriction and is going to shoot tighter patterns than a true Cylinder Bore (no choke constriction), more like Improved Cylinder choke in your specific case.
