  1. Great video on what recoil springs do for you, how to review which you need, and how they affect your recoil and sight acquisition.
  2. Exactly! Chandler was great with my order. He answered a ton of questions with my order as I still semi-new to reloading. I placed the order and 4 days later (over a weekend even) I had 6K black beauties in my hands. Top notch service and great bullets means Chandler has a loyal customer here as well.
  3. Thanks for the updates, I appreciate the work put into it! Congrats to the newest A shooters!

hahaha... the wife and I loved this one! Thanks Laz!
  5. The top three are rules we have in our home for the whole family; while the bottom two are ones that I try to adhere to every day as well: Make it a general rule to... - Treat others the way you want to be treated - Live life all the way, right away, with a smile (doing a chore, task, etc. Do it completely, immediately, with joy) - Assume good intentions in others' actions - Go out of my way to make three strangers smile today - Remember that I am a child of God and to show His Love and Grace to ALL others
  6. I compete with a CZ 75B in SSP / Production and I carry a CZ 75 Compact daily. Right now I do not have a back up CZ so I bring my carry piece to the range for an acceptable back up competition piece. I always have a parts box with me as well to do minor repairs. I am hoping to pick up a new CZ 75 Shadow T for my primary competition and keep my enhanced 75B as my backup then.
  7. Another vote here for the CZ 75 Shadow. I shoot my CZ in USPSA Production, IDPA SSP & ESP, and it is a rock solid competitor in all three divisions/games. The only reason I will move from my upgraded 75B is to pick up a 75 Shadow and use my 75B as a back up pistol.
  8. Nice! I have had two opportunities to touch the Cup. The first time I passed as I was playing minor league hockey and didn't want to touch it until I earned it.... the second time I did the same as you since I had retired having never earned it, much less skated on NHL ice haha.
  9. Thanks for the appendix section on that. Now the question for a gunsmith... would switching to the Extended Paddle style safety (approved on several Production Approved firearms already): A: fit on my 75B? B: increase the tension and prevent the safety from accidentally engaging during my draw? Thanks!
  10. I'll never see a Bond movie as long as Daniel Craig is involved. Edited for political content. 3quartertime BE.com staff
  11. So a quick question regarding USPSA Production and IDPA SSP as well... would changing the stock safety on a normal CZ 75B to one of the extended safeties kick me out of Production/SSP? Or is an allowed change since it is a normal stock part?
  12. Yeah I am definitely trying to go too fast... it affects so many facets of shooting haha. I worked hard this past week, and this weekend at the match, to focus on the stage breakdown, visualization, and slowing down, and it helped tremendously. I shot much better, and some stages even felt slow but the timer showed otherwise. I still ended up with two Mikes (dang head shots) on the day which hurt a bit, but overall the results were much better. I still need to slow down a bit and not rush through every stage.
  13. Yep, Chandler sent me a small 1K order for me to test out the 147gr bullets. I'll load some tonight, test tomorrow I hope, then if all goes well will be placing a full order from him. He was quick to process the order, called me back with questions I had, and shipping was very fast.
  14. Rock on dude! I think the answer is... whatever the heck you want, each week!
  15. Thanks Corey and everyone else. We have a practice tonight after work so I am going to really focus on trying to visualize the stages during practice as well.
  16. Awesome, I shoot out at ARPC, then make the rounds for USPSA at Benchrest, Sparta, PASA, and of course at ARPC. Looking forward to shooting with you and the family sometime.
  17. Welcome Christine from another St. Louis shooter. Where do you shoot? Have fun and stay safe!
  18. I started shooting USPSA in March and have done fairly well on the stand and shoot classifiers, just got my B card in June and even shot two A classifiers recently, but on the courses I SUCK. Mental mistakes kill me. The biggest problem I am having is programming my run, visualizing it a dozen or so times before my run, then when the buzzer hits, I just shoot brown and forget the visualization, shoot to slide lock, etc. I feel if I can get the mental game down, I can improve drastically. I just need to work on breaking stages down and sticking to the dang plan. I have had people explain to me the visualization of the stage breakdown, but how do you cement it in? I try and see myself run the stage and it all looks great, then the buzzer goes off and I am just throwing lead at targets... CRAP reload!! CRAP didn't even shoot at that hidden target! haha I have tried round counting, ie. paper, paper, steel, paper, reload, move to array 2, steel steel, paper, paper, paper = 7, reload, 8. Not sure how well it works as I find myself counting shots and that takes me out of the pure shooting. So with all that... what is the best way to mentally plan a stage and STICK to it?
  19. I cancelled texting and data plans on our phones two years ago and never once looked back. I feel you brother!
  20. All the contact info is posted above... but I just wanted to add my recommendation as well. I ordered 5K rounds from them to hold me over while I started reloading and they were great to deal with. Fast shipping, great customer service, and great ammo.
  21. I had similar problems with my 650 when I first got it and was also extremely frustrated and thought that perhaps I bought the wrong reloader. However... Dillon was amazing with their support. The rep I spoke with on the phone was extremely apologetic and sent a replacement primer feed system 2nd day air for me and had me up and going again. Sadly the replacement part had the same problem and they sent another piece for me. After reading this forum I found the problem as you mentioned... a burr on the primer index plate. I sanded it with super fine sand paper and it has been flawless for nearly 2k rounds now. Yes it was frustrating at first, but Dillon more than made up for it and now my 650 hums along perfectly.
  22. My process is very similar. 1) WIN, 2) FED, 3) R-P, 4) Mixed Brass. If loading for practice I grab the mixed brass load a batch. If loading for a match, I load only 1, 2, or 3 but never mix them. I have heard people hate S&B brass, but I haven't had a problem loading it so far. I load any brass.
  23. Excellent, thanks for the tips everyone. So I think am going with my existing BladeTech holster with the DOH removed so it is mounted straight to the belt, and the BladeTech Revolution Double pouch with paddle attachment (getting two of these for USPSA), and the Wilderness Tactical Instructor Belt with the CSM reinforcement. Thanks everyone!
  24. Ahh... the paddle attachments. I completely missed those. Thanks!
  25. hmmm... seems like there really isn't a good way to thread the CR belt through loops with the mag pouches and holster in place. I think I am stuck in a USPSA mindset for the gear haha
