  1. ^^^^^ This. As a recovering triggerslut I forced myself to leave the Timney in my MPX PCC. (I tried 3 different triggers in my Gen 2). Ya know what? I really can't tell the difference when on the clock in this high speed, trigger slapping game.
  2. Quick and dirty way to tell if your ammo has enough "kick" to it. Put a single round in your biggest mag. If the bolt does not lock back you need to increase your powder charge. Don't worry about your PF going up. Unlike blowback guns you will hardly notice any difference between 130 and 150PF in the MPX.
  3. Oh yeah, I don't think Max L will need to up his training game if I get one. This is much more the idea of a fun gun to shoot.
  4. Just saw HK will be selling these in the US. I know it will be an expensive proposition, and the best HK trigger pack won't match my current options, but damn this just sounds like fun and it should be absolutely reliable. Don't know if there any extended mags/drum options though.
  5. I had good luck with the Blitz and a 308 spring. Seems to be personal preference.
  6. "Practical" left the party a long time ago with 32 round comped red dot Open pistols. This isn't like the only other division is Single Stack. I shoot multi-gun as well and do not use 30 rounders. Personally I love seeing guys use 60 round big sticks. Pretty decent chance the mag will s#!t itself and leave me gloating over my unearned stage triumph. LOL
  7. Here is his direct email. Nick@secretweapontraining.com
  8. I personally know Nick and have both shot with and been trained by him. He is not only a stunningly good shooter (eight division GM), but more importantly he has great teaching skills. Not every GM does. Doesn't hurt that you won't find a nicer guy at the range. Absolutely train with him if you can.
  9. My pleasure. That is a good price by the way.
  10. I have both. Get the new version. Definitely. Sig appears to have really addressed the reliability issues through a multitude of changes in this model.
  11. My bad, I was just watching Max L's vid from last year's event! I am sure I am not alone in mourning that the Sterling won't be coming out to play. Always fun to watch you shoot it. To the OP: Optics are very much personal taste. I shoot with guys who run everything from a 1 moa to an 8 moa from micro dots to UH1s. All do great and will swear by what they have. Try to look through as many optics as you can at the range and see what appeals to you.
  12. This from the guy who will be shooting irons at targets far past 100Y at the JP match in Sept!
  13. Like the title says, does anyone know what size screws are used to mount the optic?? Can't find anything on Cmore's site. Figured I would check before I start messing up threads trying different sizes. Thxs!
  14. What George said. This is not a lube or mag issue. Get ahold of Sig.
  15. Nope, as a former DI he was quite clear it was dependent on his definition of dirty! LOL
  16. "Never put away a dirty gun." My dad
  17. Actually an excellent and very applicable point my friend. I had not thought about that. Thank you!
  18. Rounding this back to my original question about non-pocket ways to carry my flag here is the answer du jour. I first tried the belt magnet from my Open rig but I forgot how strong that dang thing is. After I had my wife and a friend pry me off of the refrigerator I got stuck to I went to a 1.25" rare earth magnet with a predrilled hole. Drilled my belt, bolted it on and I think I have a winner. As long as that ring is touching the magnet at all it isn't coming off without some intent. Thanks for the help gents.
  19. I had a pretty good routine using a dedicated pocket. The grunge issue was pointed out to me by the chief de-grunger in the household. Not only do I recognize I am batting way out of my league with her in the first place but she is a dedicated Open shooter. Keeping a treasure like that happy is certainly a worthwhile endeavour.
  20. Agree the RO bit is faster but frankly I have seen a variance in responses from handing a flag to the RO which seems to correlate closely to how they feel about PCC as a division and I just don't feel like dealing with it. Never an issue at 3-gun matches though.
