  1. Sorry, since I wasn't actually issuing a range command I thought lamr would serve the purpose here. Best laid plans of mice and men.... Totally like the split key ring idea. Kevin, I've thought about your setup and I do have a dump bag. That might do the trick as well. I
  2. I know, I know, trivial stuff but I am who I am. Where are you putting your chamber flag while you are shooting a stage? I have been putting them in a convenient pocket but they are leaving all kinds of oil/filth/carbon on my pants that either won't come out or at best is a pita to get out. Yes, I run the flag down the magwell to minimize what gets on the flag. I don't want to have to give it to a RO and I don't want to have to spend 30 seconds retrieving it while my squadmates heckle me for how PCCs are slowing the match down. Before I attempt to reinvent the wheel with racer tape and baling wire I thought I would see what others are doing.
  3. Funny, I actually reload way better with my big stick. Go figure. 20s are good as first mags to drop in the dirt on classifiers but more so for rooftops.
  4. Ahhh, the joys of anticipation!
  5. Henk, I would consider the PCC version significantly enough different to not look at issues with prior versions. Not saying everything is peaches and cream yet as round counts are still relatively low but I have seen no posts here or elsewhere discussing the typical MPX feeding/ejection issues on the PCC model. Just my observation.
  6. Oh, I totally, totally agree. I will also confess that more times than not I have done exactly the same thing. Racked the bolt and gave myself death jams that are almost impossible to clear without tools. Quick way to ruin a whole day at the range with friends.
  7. This is like when I am sitting watching a horror movie but rather than yelling at the screen "Don't open that door!" I'm yelling "Don't rack it without dropping the mag!" As a member of the club I get your pain.
  8. Oh, I agree it can be done. Ejection port is the key as you say and with dedicated ROs easy to do other than stages that finish with the shooter wrapping around a wall. The issue would be at our local matches with 100 shooters and random ROs with varying degrees of skill sets as well as a reluctance by some in the stock-impaired divisions to do anything different for the "benefit" of PCC. Killjoys. LOL
  9. They are interchangeable but have different gas port diameters.
  10. Oh dear Lord, no! I went through our first round of timers not picking up PCC shots. I grew quite weary of having to bring double the ammo I normally did and having pistol guys throwing rocks at me because I was slowing the squad down reshooting stages. That and when you looked at the results and saw that the stage winner by 7 seconds over all the GMs was the mid-pack C class shooter because the RO didn't recognize they didn't pick up the last shots.
  11. Sidebar here but yeah, I would swear Sig walks my parts orders to me.
  12. Allrighty then, it appears to either be my crappy eyes or my particular unit. Thanks gents.
  13. Those should be mandatory testing grounds for anyone making an optic!
  14. Multiple batteries tried. When you say intensely do you mean like Aimpoint bright?
  15. You know he does and there is probably a youtube/facebook/IM video of him doing it at insane speed as he runs forward to the next target array.
  16. Is it just me or is the beloved Holosun 510 just not that bright? (Yes, I have it on the correct mode) Compared to an Aimpoint micro or RTS2 mine is significantly dimmer, and not just because of the larger dot on the RTS2. I haven't heard anybody talking about this issue so wondering if it might just be my unit? I live in the desert so it has gotta be bright to work.
  17. Are you saying my "rack the bolt" spring measure is out of calibration??
  18. Remember now that the Gen 3 has a pivoting bolt carrier and as best I can tell stronger recoil springs. There is more at play here than just the gas port size.
  19. Just an observation on the Gen 3 MPX reliability. Remember that the issues with the first two gens didn't surface after thousands of rounds, they started right away and the first answer was to run hot ammo in them until they were broken in. That does not seem to be the case here at all with the gen 3.
  20. Thread winner!! And thanks for reminding me of my ex-girlfriend. Where did I leave her number.........
  21. Kevin, we need you to get a Gen 3. You are a round count monster!
  22. Hahahahahaha... Oh, how the painful truth can make me laugh. It is why the GMR 15 is still in the safe.
  23. Okay, a question for all you bleeding edge of technology folks who have racked up some significant round counts on your Gen 3s. How reliable have they been? The cautious members of the herd want to know.
  24. Any noticeable difference in dot bounce??
