  1. Thanks. Yep, it is a 4". Any recommendations for speedloaders?
  2. Both actually, plus the local "fun matches" at the range.
  3. The better half has decided she is ready to get into the sport and is wanting to use her trusty 686. I have next to no experience with revos so am lookikng for a list of items I should get her for her first match. This is just an older 686 that shoots pretty darn nice. No moon clips, just the old style fixed front sight, nothing whiz bang. At a minimum I know she will need a holster, some speed loaders and something to hold the speedloaders. Any suggestions and additional items I should get her would be much appreciated.
  4. I am left eye dominant and shoot left handed. Due to proliferative retinopathy and a couple surgeries my left eye vision, even corrected as best it can be done, is still significantly worse than my right eye. It is pretty difficult for me to pick up even a FO front sight now with my left. I am wondering if it would be better to just start shooting left handed using my right eye to aim and maybe putting tape over the left side of my shooting glasses. Any thoughts would really be appreciated.
  5. Not sure. Would that make it a Tactical Elite or a Witness Sport?
  6. What are everyone's thought on the stock sights? Particullarly valued are opinions of those who are, shall we say, optically challenged?
  7. As far as mag capacity there are now extended basepads so you can go +3 on the .45. 17 ain't 20 but it's close!
  8. I've had work done both by Springer Precision (trigger work sights) and by Canyon Creek (Fusion finish and sights again.....I'm finicky what can I say?). Both did great work and have excellent customer service. Springer's turnaround time is ridiculously quick.
  9. OK, not sure where to post so please feel free to move to a more appropriate catagory. I would like to shoot my .45 XD in Production from time to time and don't reload. What are some recommendations on soft shooting .45 ammo? Thanks!
