  1. Anyone have experience with this powder? Where does it fit in the burn rate chart? I searched but no joy. Thanks, 19852

Check with BCM. Get on their notification list and check often. Be ready to order at a moments notice. I was able to order a BCG late one night.
  3. My method also. I recently put an Aim-point on my carbine. It was on paper right out of the box at 25 yards, now sighted at 50.
  4. 5 years ago I bought some Wolf small pistol primers. I found them hard and requiring a full strength MS in my CZ. Recently got some Tula and have used those with zero issues. However, I should note all my pistols use factory main springs.
  5. Hornady One Shot is my case lube of choice.
  6. I have been very happy with Bayou Bullets. BB's .38 160gr RN is very popular with the revo shooter around here. I use VV N320.
  7. I would shoot them if I could find them...With VV N320.
  8. Been There, Done That. I reload with a Dillon SQB and on a slower pace. I often find 9X17 cases mixed in mainly due to my helpful shooting buddies. I think I have shot a few with no ill results. Mostly I throw them out. I inspect every case before putting it into the press not just for .380's but for crimped Mil brass too.
  9. I have a Comp-Tac for my P-30. I like it. 19852

    147GR or 124GR

I originally started using 147's due to the light recoil but changed for two reasons: 1) I read a post from Angus Hobdell where he said CZ's were more accurate with mid weight bullets and 2) IMO the steel falls over more decisively with a 124/5 bullet. I use VV N320. 19852
  11. Sir, I can't compare the PX4 to the 92 series, which I use, as I don't own a PX4. There are some factory and after market accessories available for the 92. The newer 92A1 even has a dove tail front sight. Mags are also cheap and plentiful, real factory or factory quality mags too, no need to chance crappy mags based on cost. I have a CZ in SA only which I really like. My large hands like the 92 and my aging eyes like the long sight radius. Take care of it and the 92 is boringly reliable.
  12. I agree, but it isn't allowed. CDP is .45 ACP only. In my opinion CDP should be governed by PF just like the other divisions.
  13. It would, if I didn't use it all up when my car needs a top off...
  14. If you like the 92 then I say shoot one. I shot an older used 92F [not the FS] for several years with no issues. Now I shoot a lightly used, former police trade, 92G w/fading NS. I do have other reasons for choosing the 92 besides competition. I use mine without reservation and if it breaks I'll get another. As a freind once said, "they make more every day"..

    CZ 75 SP01 build

So did my uncle and cousin. Best of luck with your CZ.
  16. I just went through some of those bullets and my results reflect yours, very accurate in both my CZ 75 and Beretta 92. I have been using VV N340 but also N320. I think it was Angus Hobdell who said that the CZ likes the medium weight bullets. I had terrible accuracy with Berry's 124 HP's.
  17. I don't always use VV N320 but when I do.... 4.0 to 4.2 with a 124/125 grain jacketed bullet. As always chrono for best results.
  18. Mine is a '91 and the gunsmith never mentioned any lack of material when he did mine. It is a cross dove tail w/fiber optic. Not sure of brand or dove tail dimensions.
  19. Ics, I don't go for the softest feel anymore. Used to, but I have come around to a little more velocity and steel knock down + accuracy. My 124/125 loads are presently at a 135pf +/- . Recently been using VV N340 because I had some but I will be going back to VV N320 when it runs out. Best, 19852
  20. OK guys, all this recent talk about ordering by the case has got me thinking I might do just that. Never ordered more than 2000 at a time. But a case of Montana Gold gets down to $86 -84/K. I like the mid-weight bullets 124-125 even 130gr. I have heard that the 121 IFP is a very accurate bullet. Would it be good for 9mm minor? Other than that I will probably just get some 124's. Thanks
  21. I have a Dillon SQDB. The S&B brass takes a little more force to push in the primer but nothing I can't handle. I have had primers fall out of the pocket after loading so a snug fit is a good thing. Military brass has a crimp so I sort these out. Never seen S&B steel case.

    Vest

What's next, bag your gun between stages so you aren't carrying around an unnecessary couple of pounds? I like to pretend I am CCW and keep my gun under concealment. Kind of in the Spririt Of The Game and an effort to Do Right. Me too! I like to pretend I am a chairborne ranger when I am in full Tactical Timmy wear at an IDPA match. In Texas in the late spring and summer most of us take it off between stages because of the heat, and for most matches at the peak of the summer we don't require vests at all during the match. It's simply too hot outside. Bingo! If one is standing in the shade then it maybe tolerable. But anyone out scoring or pasting won't last long. Witnessed a shooter feint while sitting on a chair in the shade on one of our Texas 100+ deg days.
  23. Gentlemen, Ladies, I am contemplating a work related move from Austin ,TX to Oklahoma City. I have gotten a little spoiled here with so many clubs and options to include USPSA and steel challenge. Nary a weekend goes by where one doesn't have several options Saturday or Sunday. I looked at the IDPA website for IDPA clubs in the OKC area and found one about an hour away. Is that it? Where do you serious pistol shooters train/practice and compete in the OKC area? Thanks, 19852
  24. My P-30 is accurate with loads my Beretta doesn't shoot well. But it isn't a rental gun. One just doesn't know what people have done to a rental.
  25. I built, or had built a '91 CZ into something like a SA only shadow back when there were no shadows. Dovetail sights [FO front, Novak rear], Angus tuned conversion into a SA only with the old steel two way adjustable trigger and comp hammer. I still have it, it runs like a champ. But for the cost of all the work one might as well get a shadow with the better frame. IMO
