Just got on the list for a 9maj open gun from Carne. He's very personable, and I had a fantastic experience talking to him on the phone about my build. I'm totally new to 2011s and he had no issue talking me through common choices, options, and talking through the technicalities. His price point is very competitive and reasonable. I would recommend going through him for anyone wanting to get into custom builds.

I have 1.285" at the grip screw and 1.660" at the fattest part of the grip (about halfway between the grip screw and bottom of the grip)

From what I can tell, there's a different safety. The TSO and the TS2 line are different in frame size. The TSO and other Tactical sports + CM have a slightly wider frame than the TS2, which is the same width as the Shadow 2, which is slightly wider than the original CZ75 frames. But yeah, basically... just a bull barrel.

If you want more width, I would recommend the Patriot Defense brass grips.

Are there any magwells that will work without modification to the grip panels' length? One that looks like it might is the Springer Precision magwell.

I ran 6.6 WAC under a PD 124gr FMJ for my Czechmate before I swapped to AA#7.

I got some more clarification from Phil. He said it's because of the relief cut they make in the frame to allow for having a full rail on the gun. Since this is going to be an LO gun.. I'm not putting a light on it lol. I've asked him if we can skip the rail in favor of putting some holes in the frame. It's not atypical for an open gun to have a full dust cover in some cases. Looks like he's willing to work with me, at the very least. I told him I'm not a fan of the nitro fin (since I'm not and want to shoot thumbs up) and he took that in stride. If it costs extra for me to pay for the time/headache to make the gun the way I want it, that's fine for me. I have total trust in the fact I'm going to get a good product.

I've primarily done a lot of business through the GunAccessoriesForSale subreddit on Reddit. I've picked up two of my DPPs from there.

I put an order in for the MPA LOC the other day and asked if they could drill/tap the Cmore pattern on the frame so I could mount a Tevo rest. They said they would be unable to do this and tried to sell me on a Nitro fin. It shouldn't be that hard to tap a couple of 5-40 holes in the frame. If they can't do that on this frame, is that worrisome? How are they building open guns??

Patriot Defense told me they will be releasing a magwell later this year for the CZs. Their magwell cut grips are supposed to be on their site later this week, and will be compatible with the factory mag well (a la Czechmate and other TS series guns), and their grips will (ofc) be compatible with their own magwell. I'll be getting some magwell cut short grips from PD and patiently waiting for their magwell.

I've picked up a handful of DeltaPoint Pros at/under $300 on the used market. If you can find the Holosuns cheaper than that (I've gotten a few 407c's for under $220), then go with the Holla-sun, but DPPs are pretty great. The adjustment button is a little annoying, but the window is nice and large.

Does that make major? I don't even break 165PF in my Czechmate until 8.7grs of AA#7 behind a 124gr FMJ projectile.

PDs FMJs have been the most friendly for 9major for me since the bullet profile is conducive to loading a little longer for those of us with short-throated Czechmates. They're still pricier than coated.. so I will still run coated in my 9minor guns.

Seboweapons also has a good amount of CZ parts. Just buy when the USD is stronger compared to the Koruna and it's not too bad.

I have a Glock that was milled by Jagerwerks in early 2021. Great work -- but even then, their lead times were just insane. Something like 9 weeks. Only thing I could think of is a Surefire brake + a Surefire Warden on top of it.. Not sure if anyone else makes something like that..

I like the Geiselle ACH the most on my ARs. It's got a very large latch.
