Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Interested in this style of pistol for optic competition shooting. The Strike One can be milled for an RMR and the Type B can come from the factory optic ready. Curious what folks think which of these would be better etc.
  2. Rules say "Suitable for everyday use. Race gun type holster prohibited". I'm not sure what this means. What kind of holster is legal to use for production or single stack? Would a law enforcement style holster be a good place to start?
  3. Currently have a VP9L and wondering if the additional weight of the Q5 SF might be helpful in managing recoil etc. Pistols seem to have very similar ergonomics. Just curious on folks' thoughts on these pistols.
  4. Coolfire for some platforms (Glock, SIG) seems more or less a drop in. For a VP9 and some other platforms you have to swap out the striker spring. This is a little involved. For any folks who have done this do you switch the gun back and forth between coolfire and livefire, or because of this do you leave the pistol as a coolfire/dry fire only pistol and use a different gun for practice?
  5. Thanks all for the great suggestions. Ended up trying Wiley PT1 (that was what I could get quickly) and they seem to have much better peripheral coverage. They seem similar to the Wiley-X Guard. Will keep the others in mind as they all looked great too.
  6. Looking for ideas for good shooting glasses (no prescription needed - yet) that will provide frontal AND side protection from flying debris in addition to a good field of vision for competion. Realized the ones were were using did not have great side protection and also that debris can come from many angles. The user has a large head ...
  7. Thanks all for the suggestions. Ordered the Radian but they all look great.
  8. Have a newly built AR9 for SASP. We used a mil-spec charging handle. I want to get something bigger that's easier to grab/pull. Any suggestions?
