  1. Get a 1911 in 40 if you want to expand on it. You can shoot it to major power factor in single stack and limited 10. You can most likely use the same load for a double stack limited gun, especially if you stick with the ??11 platform. While a 1911 in 9mm would be a fun gun to have, not really a practical caliber for USPSA unless you want to shoot minor power factor. Randy
  2. Steady pace with 650, case feeder, bullet feeder, visual powder check, components stocked within reach and primer filler running in the background, 1200rds/hour. Randy Edited to add "bullet feeder"
  3. Longest for me is 100 yds with a FN 5.7 at demo days. 2 out of 3 shots at 10" steel gong. The thing does shoot pretty flattttt. Looks like I will have to try some longer stuff. Randy
  4. Nice glass is addictive! If you are not wanting to spend bucks on great glass, do not ever talk yourself into trying it. You will never be able to buy anything but the good stuff. I do not range with my reticle although it is easy enough with the 2moa/10moa has marks. I use a Swarovski laser range finder. Have used it to range trees out to 1600 yards. Longest animal I have ranged was an elk at 840yds, but have not tried it on animals any farther out. Not always practical depending on surroundings, but it works for my area, and for what I am doing. Scope is currently mounted on a AR-10 in 308. Not needing any holdover beyond 1400yds at the moment. If I need any farther than that, I will probably move it over to the 300winmag. Currently running a Nightforce 8-32X56 on it with NP-R2 reticle. Only 30moa of holdover on the NP-R2, so I would have to play with my zero distance to get to 1400yds. Randy
  5. Make and model? U.S. Optics SN-3 3.8-22x58 FFP with PCMOA reticle. Cannot get full 40moa up and down on 22 power. http://www.usoptics.com/get_image.php?uid=RET-050 Randy
  6. I use MOA/MOA. I do not click. All of my scopes get out to over 1000 yds in the reticle. My newest scope has 40moa below and above center cross hair for a total of 80 moa with out clicking. The game I am playing with my precision rifles is shot with par time. I just do not have the time to click between shots or I would have to really rush my shots(4 minutes for 9 shots ranging from 350-1350yds). It is a practical field course, so you have to locate targets in between shots as well. I do not use my scope for ranging although it is possible with moa or mil scopes. Randy
  7. I have a Springfield V10 ultra compact carry gun. Shoot it in a match about once a year. Have heard of reliability issues, but mine runs well with 200 gr swc, and 200gr montana gold fp. Randy
  8. Can not revote, so my vote stays at 4 Been busy stocking up. I hate to change calibers cause I never know what I am going to shoot. I like to just step up to the press and load what I need for the week. 2- xl650(one with bullet feeder ) 1- RL550 1- SL900 shotshell press 1- Mec 650 1- Lee classic cast single stage 3- Bonanza single stage presses
  9. I will give another endorsement for the Jarvis barrels. I sent my slide to Bill to have mine fit by him, and the work was well worth it. Cut the groups in half at 20 yds. A little more expensive, but it is a one time expense, and will last me forever. My brother got a lemon factory barrel in his Glock 34. He did not want to spend the money on a Jarvis, so he went with the KKM and is very happy with it. Randy
  10. Had mine done for distance vision 8 years ago, and have never looked back. Best thing I have ever done bar none. I need no prescription at all at this point, and I am 40. Randy
  11. Get a second job, and get your ammo budget up. If that is not possible, LOTS of practice can be had with one and two shot drills and transitions. Shoot whatever matches you can get to as that is really what you are practicing for. Make the most out of your practice rounds with lots of dryfire mixed in. Randy
  12. I have had two pretty good cuts on my trigger finger, and both took about a week and then were serviceable. The worst one had 6 stitches at the middle knuckle, and I shot two days later. You will be fine in a couple of days. Randy
  13. Ordered my grill for natural gas. No propane tanks to change. Do not forsee running out of natural gas. Randy
  14. I use a Arredondo for limited. I like the different levels of retention, and the lock is rock solid. Bladetech for production. Randy
  15. I assume you are talking about while the shooter is reholstering his hot gun. At our club we treat this as sweeping yourself, and therefore DQ. I am not an RO, nor do I play one on TV Randy
  16. Just do not need to activate before shooting the scoring targets. Randy
  17. Bought a CR Speed because I had talked to a few people and they seemed to work well. Could not ask a belt to do anymore, so I have stuck with them. Randy
  18. Paul, what took you so long to post on Enos. Get with it man!

  19. Yes, I believe mine did. Randy
  20. Big Congrats Corey! Keep up the awesomeness! Randy
  21. I have a Wilson Combat Classic Supergrade, and I do not think there is anything else that could be done to it to make it more reliable. Purchasing from a smaller manufacturer such as Wilson, Ed Brown, Nighthawk, etc. will get you a gun that has had a bit more tlc than bigger manufacturers. Randy
  22. Lots of hours involved in one of these builds. Glad to see the finish line in sight for him. In the end it will be a very rewarding project for him. Randy
  23. I am not aware of a gas station around here that does not have at least 4 diesel pumps. Alot have as many as the regular fuel. Sorry to say I have not run into this problem, but if I get a Titan tank installed, I will definately be visiting gas stations less often. Randy
  24. IMHO just go to armalite.com and go to the lower reciever parts page. Pick out all of the small detents, and detent springs, and other springs you will need. Probably only a few dollars worth of parts. Then order some of those fancy take down and pivot pins by Yankee hill etc. I like the Arredondo extended mag release. Not much left after that depending on bolt stop catch and mag catch. Randy
