Instead of support, I would see this as a hardness and or accuracy issue. The aftermarket barrel might have less issues with used brass, especially in a higher pressure cartridge like 40. My brother just had the chamber on his Glock 35 come apart with a factory barrel, and I would not have expected the same issue with a harder barrel material designed for higher pressures. Also, I have had a factory Glock 34 barrel that shot like dog shit, installed an aftermarket barrel, and now it is a tack driver. Randy

I have had Bill jarvis fit his barrels to my competition glocks, and they run 100%. Bill is really easy to deal with. It helps that his shop is only 45 minutes south of me. All of his barrels are made of rifle barrel stock, and they hold up very well. Randy

I have a new Trojan in 40, and had to replace the mag release. Would lock in(released) about 30% of the time. Loading it long, and it seams to run ok when it holds the mag, but I have not had the time to play with it since the new mag release. All things considered, I would have a gunsmith build me one. That way I get it how I want. Some of the gunsmiths are turning around guns pretty fast(Akai). All of my custom built guns run at 100%, my factory guns always need something. Randy

Shooters Connection is a great recommendation. I also like CPWSA, Chris Patty. I get all of my Bolen stuff from him, and have ordered bladetech holsters and mag holders from him as well. As far as used, you are on the best site for that. Just have to keep your eyes open in the classifieds. Depending on the holster, you are not gonna save much used. Most Bladetech DOH holsters bring pretty good money used, so you might just go new if you do not want to wait. Randy P.S. Last things 1st. The reason to go with 40 over 45 would be a capacity issue. 21 rounds in a tuned 140 mag gives you 22 at the start. I am guessing this compares to maybe 18 rounds of 45? Less reloading is less time spent on a course of fire. As far as the pistol goes, the higher the dollar is usually for more custom work in fitting/tuning the gun. Get what you can afford, and maybe take a look at a used gun in the classifieds if price is an issue. You can probably get something custom for the same price as a new Edge, and have a better performing more reliable pistol. Just my opinion Randy

The bowl mounting system is different on the two, and in my opinion, the CV2001 is better. The center mounting bolt can wobble out on the FL2000. Randy

I second the depth setting. I have mine set so that it drops about 1/2 bullet length so that the wire stopper has a chance to follow the ogive of the dropped bullet back in on the downstroke of the press and catch the bottom of the next bullet. Randy

Call shooters connection for either or their range bags. I have the pro and the regular. The Pro is good for large matches with more stages. I use mine for the area matches, and the regular bag for local matches. Randy

My configuration is Dillon size, Dillon Seater, and Lee factory crimp. Never had good luck with the dillon crimp, so I use lee factory crimp on all of my auto loader pistol cartridges. Randy

It really depends on how much time you like to spend reloading. No troubles on my Super 1050. I still use my 550 and 650's, but I wish I had purchased the 1050 sooner. Once you run one you will understand. Randy

My next shooting shoe is going to be the Solomon Speedcross 3. Soft cleat, but pretty aggressive, and super comfortable. Randy

Better just to be up front. When my wife and I were dating, I showed up at the house with a brand new jetski. Mike Seeklander has refined his class format over the last couple of years, and I think he has a really great teaching system right now. I would highly recommend it. His published books that go along with the class will keep you organized and focused. Randy

My production gun is a gen 2 Glock 17 with a Vanek drop in trigger kit. I am running a factory rear adjustable sight, and a Hiviz fiber front. Uncle Mikes holster and blade Tech mag pouches. To be honest, I have not been shooting production in the last couple of years. I would really like to check out the CZ production guns and maybe the M&P. Randy

Get the Dillon CV2001. It is rated at 1300 38/357 cases. I have 2 of the FL2001, and they tumble so much faster than my old Midway 1292. If you cannot afford a new one, and are diligent, you should be able to get a used one off of ebay for around $100-120 shipped. Randy

A couplle guys at Dillon told me that that is their preferred method. Full length size in station 1, then trim in Station 3. Tumble, then a Universal De-capping Die in Station of the loading Toolhead to make sure the flash holes are clean. be This is the way I do it. Works well for me. Randy
