  1. Walter, I while back you posted using VV310 under 185 Berry's HBRN to shoot major in roundgun. Ever have any pressure issues. So far I am up to 5.0 grains and have a ways to go to make major, no problems yet. But when I saw you use this combination, I thought it would be good to check with somebody with some experience with this load. Currently shooting 4"625, but have 6" 25-2 on the way California.
  2. Amen Brother, Everybody has to do what they gotta do. I limit my Sunday matches to about one a Quarter and Church the rest. Fortunately I have one match within 60 miles of home that has Saturday matches. My .02 worth.
  3. Has anybody had any experience with NHO, especially his trigger job and magwell for a Beretta Storm Carbine. If so, how is the magwell installed?
  4. Out of my friends 16" Bushmaster in 65 degree weather, I got 2910 fps across my chrono. That put him at a 160 PF
  5. I also run 4.1 grains 231 with 125 LRN in S&W M&P . Chrono'd it today 65 degree weather and got 1025 fps. Less than 20fps deviation.
  6. I had a similar experience with a noted gunsmith in the American Pistolsmith Guild. Actually his work is first class , but what I later learned happened to mine was that he had taken on a new law enforcement assignment and left my gun to some rookie wanna be working in his shop. He had my gun for over 18 months . When I got it back the bomar was bent ,the Colt Series 70 and pony polished of the slide just leaving a faint reminder of what was there. bluing was purple. New Briley barrel never would run and later broke at stirrup/feet. Finally took gun to another smith who put a schueman bbl in it and got it to running. Was so upset I never went back to express my concerns to this guy. I did not want to go off on a guy that is now second in command to the sheriff in the county I live in.
  7. Sounds like a good excuse to get one of those new fangled Alloy frames!!
  8. That has to be the deepest I have ever seen Bo-Mars buried. Cool!
  9. First late me say that I am pretty ignorant when it comes to computers. Now with that out of the way, my problem is I had been viewing some of the nice USPSA and 3-gun footage on You Tube and such. Now when I try to view it, It says that either Javascript is turn off or I have an old version of Marco Media flash player. Click to here to get latest version. So I click and get nothing . I have tried several times and several methods with no luck. Can somebody coach the computer illiterate? Mark
  10. Jack , I shot L-10 last season with my bull barrel Springfield Longslide Single Stack and enjoyed it very much. What I like about L-10 is that equip is more forgiving. You can shoot single or double stack, bull or bushing , kydex or race rig, magazine placement is liberal and be very competive with any mix of the above. As others have mentioned if it went away where would they compete with existing equipment?
  11. I agree with what's the point. I will leave the moonclips to the 45 and continue loading my K with comp III's. I was curious as I have two friends that have decided to shoot ICORE with us at my club and both are modifing K frame 38spls to 9mm . Some of their reasoning is they both own 9mm semi-autos and wanted to stick with one caliber. Thanks for the feedback
  12. Beautiful and functional , it doesn't get any better.
  13. No complaints or issues with Open and Limited Pistol Magazines No complaints or issues with Open or Limited Shotguns round count. What's the difference with rifles? Interesting topic I find myself wanting to agree with both sides .
  14. Thought I would check with the roundgun gurus and ask if a 1960's version S&W Model 15 converted to 9mm would hold up. I figure a Model 19 or L-frame would be fine, but is the Model 15 strong enough to take a steady diet of factory 9mm?
  15. Is that true? Boy, that could ruffle some feathers. Speaking of ruffling feathers. Why bother with SSD. L-10 seemed to be all we really needed to have a place for all 1911 45 owners to come play our sport. IPSC is what it is and IDPA is what it is. We don't really need a CDP class in USPSA , do we? What about the other Single Stacks? Where do they play? My apologies. I should have none better than to throw in my .02 worth. The more we can get to burn powder the MERRIER.
  16. Luke , I met you at the Georgia 2006 Steel Challenge Championship. You showed me a way cool L-Frame that Randy had done. Destined to have a similar wheelgun. It's taken a while , but after locating a 25-2 I sent it to Randy just before Thanksgiving. If I get it back in time I plan on shooting the following in REVOLVER Division. South Carolina Sectional- April Area 6- May Georgia State Championship- June I won't bring the round gun to this one, but I also plan on attending FT Benning 3 gun

  18. Jack , just to be different how about the Henley type as mentioned in your Poll. In any color but PURPLE!!!!
  19. 3.0gr of Trail Boss under 158 RNL in 38 spl cases. It's like cheating.
  20. Check out the Tip Out magholders from Center of Mass. I just got one in today and really like the way its designed. mws

    Lucky

Personally , I would not want to be the fireman standing on the passenger side of the truck!!
  22. Not sure if it will cycle an autoloader, but 5.0 gr. of Trail Boss under the 185 HBRN Berry bullet is one serious PUFFBALL load in my 625.Accurycy was okay.
  23. If memory serves me correctly. At one time I was shooting 5.6gr of Titegroup with 185 Mont Gold JHP's . In 5" 1911. Made Major and was pretty accurate. Check manual for safeties sake. I have since gone to 4.0gr of Clays with 230 Berry's and have not looked back.
  24. My bad, I should have been more clear . I am not talking about the Spartan. I was comparing the Sentinel and the Trojan. As pointed out to me now, the recoilmaster, checkered frontstrap, ambi safety, magwell and fiber optic, could very well make up the difference. Thanks for pointing that out.
