  1. Man I loved my Voodoo(&2) Card, I played Quake for frikin days and days... snif
  2. I'm using those also, I like them - comfy, good traction on concrete and wood as well as grass and dirt.
  3. What? Thats just silly. Feel free to PM me. I will give you an email address. It has always been a dream of mine to take a Elk with my Black Widow recurve. Congrats on your hunt Big Bore! Archery season started last week here in Maryland. Its just tough to get excited when it is still a little humid and the chiggers are EVERYWHERE! (I have the bites to prove it) Can't wait for cooler weather. That is silly. What's really silly is that both of you have over 500 post here but haven't read the Forum Guidelines. But then my post might be pushing the "Antagonistic Tones" rule. Congratulations on the dead animal in question Big Bore.
  4. Have you guys tried fish oil in liquid form? Here's a link to some, (no affiliation bla, bla, bla) It seems more economical and the reviews are good but I still have to wonder about the taste...
  5. Ahh... didn't know that. Edit - No need to kick a guy when he's down. Woudnt think of it. Actually the the "don't kick a guy" thing was in regard to what I edited out, I didn't notice that it makes no sense until it was too late to edit it again, so feel free to kick away.
  6. Well, I was actually only concerned with USPSA, (I'm selfish that way ) According to the "Production Rules Revisions - Effective July 1, 2009" section 21.6 "Exchange of minor INTERNAL components" and Section 22 "Specifically prohibited modifications and features" as long as the new firing pin block still functions as a safety it seems that it would be allowed. Yeay .... when will they be out? Or are you saying parts which only have a market in the US might not be profitable?
  7. Man, did this thread go downhill quickly!
  8. Ahh... didn't know that. Edit - No need to kick a guy when he's down.
  9. I just received the Sentry in 9mm I ordered a couple of months ago w/high perf pkg. from Brazos custom. The trigger is fantastic which is of coarse Bob's doing. One thing you guys are wrong about is the gun having a plastic ms housing. Unless magnets started sticking to plastic and nobody told me, the ms housing is steel. The magwell/ms housing is 2 piece like a Brown, with a screw through the magwell into the ms housing. Another thing you get with the Sentry is that the slide is flat topped, not a big deal but... On a different vein, the slide rollmarks on the Trojan(nice name too) are imo ugly, the Sentry's rollmarks are much better looking.
  10. Henning, Since the new production rules have us all putting our firing pin blocks back in and the H-XLFP's won't work with the FPB, how about a long light firing pin that works with the FPB? With the stock FP you're stuck with a pretty heavy DA trigger pull but a XLFP lets you use a way lighter hammer spring. I was able too lighten and lengthen the stock pin but man what a PITA plus it's pretty ugly Actually screw it, come out with complete custom quality guns. Put me down for 2. Mark Edit beause I can't spell
  11. Yes, KISS is now Mr. Bulletfeeder. You can order directly from Rick, Dawson Precision and Ghostholser carry them also. I just got one about a month ago from Rick and the wait time was a couple of weeks.

    Divorce

+1 If you have kids, try to stay civil with her as much as possible, it will make dealing with her down the road much easier. Good luck
  13. I don't see a match for Sunday on the MN Section calendar?
  14. Gary, do you have anything else to add to this, have you had any/many malf's with it, how are the poly mags holding up, did you find a holster? How errm... convenient that it doesn't fit in a regular holster, can nothing just work?

  16. Nah, I rented an M&P and put about 75 rounds through it, didn't feel the need to shoot any more. The palm swell felt wrong for me too, I just didn't care for it.

Is all of this stuff true? IMO seriously close to false advertising, yes the gun comes with those parts, but custom fit.... aahh no. The only parts on my gun that looked like they had any extra work done were the disconnector and feedramp which were polished. Like the others have said the factory mags are weak, good for practicing reloads but not for shooting, and they won't work if you add a magwell. The gun is a good deal for what you pay, but don't expect anywhere near custom build quality. You get what you pay for.
  18. So it would be safe to say that you didn't read the other posts in this thread?
  19. The MKIV XP timer/chrono is the one with all the problems, it seems like their other chronographs work fine. Unfortunately all of my experience with the company and their products is with the MKIV XP, I'll never buy from them again.
  20. No, not in my experience it doesn't work flawlessly, or even floawlessly. It seems to me that the ejector doesn't line up properly, Iv'e had 2 different .22 conversions and have 3 different witnesses to try them on and the ejector just barely hits the edge of the case rim and sometimes goes right on by, but YMMV.
  21. I wonder if a tungsten rod using the stock head design wouldn't create a burr in the frame even faster. I am not really sure if it's the weight of the guide rod combined with the inadequate head support in the frame or if it's the spring slightly binding with the guide rod in recoil that causes the burr. My Match in 9mm did it with 130 - 140 pf loads and the stock spring so I'm not really convinced that the amount of recoil has much to do with it. Anyway I made up my own guide rods for my guns using ejector pin blanks and hand filing, they aren't real pretty but they work very well. I can send you a picture or one of the guide rods if you would like Henning, but I don't think you need design help and it sounds like your idea is similar, mine would also need to be turned and milled.
  22. Just wait till you get the bill for those $40 popsicles.
