  1. anyone know where to find an A1 stock?
  2. My way cool MK2. Wicked trigger Job. Built as a pin killer (pins on the back of the table during the cold months...pins explode with center fire rounds when it is under 15 degrees...very cool but hard to find pins these days) Grip was a VQ fixed up by Get-n-grip.
  3. Thanks everyone...it is never as easy as you think...
  4. Nick, I have a ta11 w/donut reticle on my AR and FOR ME it is only good nas a mid range optic 50 - 200 yards. My eyes suck so don't go by that, just my opinion. I am also building an AR10 for the big one (not kidding) and I am looking at the IOR 1.5 x 8. I need at least 6-8 power to get out 300+ yards with any accuracy. Merry Christmas
  5. Thanks Guys, It would be headed down to benny for mods so I'll check in with him. Jason
  6. Are there any bad side effects from cutting a shotgun barrel down and re-choking it. I have a 26 inch benelli I would like to bring down to 21 Thoughts?
  7. Benny's M1 is sooo good it got me free ammo. At the last match I was at a buddy of mine ran a stage with low-recoil buckshot in his stock M1 and it choked right out of the gate. I was up next and only had birdshot but needed 00 for the long steel. I asked to borrow some of his and he said you can have all i got but it won't cycle in your Benelli. Well my Benny-elli eat it like Chicken fried steak at a casino buffet. I went home with a good run and a bunch of ammo. Buy it!
  8. What Nordic tube/end cap would give me a flush fit on an 18.5 M1? Capacity?
  9. Ok, i took the forend off my other M1 and compared it to the one i just got from rich. There are some rings on the inside of the forend that lock up againt the loop on the bottom of the barrel. I switched forends and it locked up tight as a drum. If anyone is have movement in their M1 forends you might want to look at those rings. http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/Pro...=15449#15449sku See picture. The left is my old M1, right is the new one with the problem
  10. 0 and falling in Omaha.............
  11. Thanks for the offer Trapr. I will send you a PM. It seems like it may work. It's not just a little loose, it moves a good 1/4 inch or so. I think that piece blocks it in. At least I hope so.
  12. It is my (was Rich's) M1 we are talking about. (Rich - Thanks for hunting for an answer). After looking at the manual - there is a front sling thingy that is missing. It goes between the forend and the ext tube. Looks like a ring with a slot on the bottom to loop a sling through. It wedges in-between the tube and forend about a quarter inch thick. If anyone has one in their Parts pile please le me know. GIO
  13. Probably so. This whole frenzy just pisses me off. Best of luck with the best Christmas present ever! Post some pics when you can.
  14. That is a sweet rifle !! The only thing is....Noveske took the time to put together 50 overpriced (no offense) rifles while they have a shitload of backorders and people waiting for uppers, etc. I know it is business but people have long memories for those that F'd them when things were tight. Anyway, you are getting a great rifle and it should hold it's value.
  15. The version of "Dee" on the tribute album (yes, album) was spooky. The footsteps walking away were sad. I missed him live but caught Brad Gillis on the Speak of the Devil tour, not Randy but not bad. Saw Yngwie live on his 19th b-day (85ish) at the capital theatre in Passiac NJ.....again, not Randy but awesome.
  16. Thanks Chills. I heard about the brass smasher feature but damn those mags are cheap... http://www.ptr91.com/store/cart.php?m=product_list&c=8
  17. Any opinions on the PTR91? http://www.ptr91.com/product_pages/ptr91kf.html Have a chance to do some horse tradin and may pick one up to play around in Heavy Metal land
  18. What exactly is "Backdoor brass business" ? And what is implied by the "Just so you know" BS. I have zero intention of nickle and diming people with brass sales. As i stated before, I simply came across a good deal and if I can pass that on I will. If there is some type of Brass Mafia that i do not know about please fill me in. Deal may not go through but it is nice to see capitalism is alive and well.
  19. Thanks everyone. I am sure this deal will not be as easy as it seems. As far as dealing...I was thinking of it as more of a "group buy" for the BE crowd. Not looking to get in the brass business. If possible I will try to make the deal work then pass it on from there. Just pitching in and "spreading the wealth". I'l keep everyone posted
  20. I would worry more about the magnification. 3X as the lowest setting is going to be tough up close unless you are going open with a secondary sight.
  21. My Valtro. You 1911 guys should love this one.
  22. Thanks Friday! If this deal goes through I will pass it on to the BE crowd. It is a 6k lbs bulk tote of brass from a gov't auction. Hope it works or i may be looking for a couch to sleep on.
  23. Say i was to come across a S--T Load of military brass. 5.56 and 308 dirt cheap. Is there anything i should know? Is it reloadable? I only ask because it would really be the end of my marriage if I filled our garage with 6k lbs of brass and it had no market value other then scrap. Thanks in advance, GIO

    Gun Shows

Just came back from a local gun show that.....I knew i shouldn't have gone to. My wife said "you are just going to get pissed off then I have to deal with you for the rest of the weekend" Everything was even more over-priced then it always is at Gunshows and the selection was sparse at best. Dealers responding to "supply and demand" ...my ass. If anything good comes out of the soon to be seen changes it will be driving Gun Show hacks out of business. Maybe they can sell "as seen on TV" items or used cars. My rage goes way back before the current crisis. Have you ever tried to sell anything at a Gun Show? It is as bad as the "Gun Library" at Cabela's. They can have the same gun on the table for 4 times what they want to give for yours and keep a straight face. I would rather hear "not interested" The biggest laugh is at the big show twice a year in Tulsa. Tables and Tables of crap priced like Sam Colt or John B was hand building them while you wait. When I here the Libs talk about Gun Show loop-holes I think they must be refering to the insanity loop-hole these dealers are stuck in. Do they really want to sell their items or do they just enjoy the atmosphere and Lugging their stuff back to the truck. Anyway, i feel much better. Thanks for listening and if I offended any of the good guys on this board that deal at shows I am sorry. GIO
