I bought a "Battle pack" of 5-25 rounders for 200 beans a few weeks ago. There is a huge thread on ar15.com forums about this issue. Fact is, they are expensive, many people went with DPMS bc of this. I bought a bunch of AR10 (Armalite lowers) so i felt the need to stock up on mags as well.
it sucks but they aren't going to get cheaper so buy them now. If it makes you feel any better DPMS mags we around 35ish and most places are sold out.
As i said on most of my recent posts. "This whole thing sucks and pisses me off to no end...they should ban frickin Golf clubs if they are so pissed off at the "rich".
I know Benny was dealing with some heavy family stuff. I don't know him well enough to check on him but with the Holiday he popped into my thought. I hope he is doing ok.
I am more concerned with WHO to buy from.
I will not give in to the gouging BS that is going on nor will I ever buy anything from any company or anyone behind it.
Cheaper then dirt is/was selling PMAGs for $40 and showing an MSRP of 59.00 (A great savings of 19.00) BS>BS<BS
If everybody keeps their pants on and lets the supply catch up with the demand we will be ok. More importantly join the NRA, call your Govt rep, be vocal.
AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH...this whole thing pisses me off. Why don't they ban golf clubs instead
ok, ok, i know i waited too long. But does anyoe know where to score regular black pmags these days? Brownells is out, etc
I did buy a bunch of lowers, just need something to stuff into them.
Thanks team
Have you ever sold a few Guns to fund another "must have project" then just when you get the money together some real life BS pops up and you have to spend the money. You are left without funding for your new gun and you don't even have the old ones.
Pisses me off!!!!!!!!!!
I would bet that is not a real HK unless someone's soon to be ex-wife is selling it. They were about 900 new back in the mid-eighties. They run over 2k now.
I am putting together an AR to use with detchable Iron Sights and I am looking for some recomendations. I have a flat-top upper and JP gasblock.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

in the winter we set the pins on the back of the table and just knock them off. When it is very cold the pins blow apart with centerfire so we give them a break over the winter.
Bowling Pin Matches in the Dead of winter....nothing is better. This is my Pin Killer.
That killer grip was done by Jim at http://getngrip.com/default.aspx
I am about to order (unless someone can tell me otherwise) an AR Mag from Tripp. I am debating between the 42 rounder and th 52. Is there any + or - to either? I am leaning towards the 52 b/c either one isn't very useful prone. Am i missing something?
Have you checked the prices they ask for their guns? Even worse have you ever tried to sell something there? I know it is a business and everybody looks for top dollar when they want to sell something but they have some balls. On a side note the staff at the regular Gun counter is a great source of comedy. Just stand around the counter and listen sometime. AHHHHHHHHHH
No first hand experience but it looks like a tough rifle. For 2k I would gather the parts (PRI tube, sully stock, etc) and send it off to benny at Triangle shooting sports.
If anybody needs some grip work done I HIGHLY recommend Jim from Get'n Grip. I have a MK2 .22 I use for steel and pins that suffered a dremel accident and Dr. Jim made it look better then new. I "rough" shaped the grip and it looked pretty bad. Jim smoothed it out and made it awesome! Service was great, first class all the way.

If you wanted to have different set-ups for various rifle matches would you:
A. Have one good lower with different Uppers/optics
B. Multiple Complete Guns
C. One Gun with Different QD optics (hi-power Scope, Dot, mid-range ACOG, etc)
Pros? Cons?
Just got my bonus and feeling a little itchy.....
