  1. I've got the freelance brass mag extensions and working great for me. Switched to an apex barrel and get 2" groups at 25. 3" at 20 is probably good enough for USPSA, but I understand always wanting better!
  2. Is that the plate for the RMR? If so, yes, I've mounted an SRO to my 1.0 CORE model before.
  3. I do find I have to keep mine pretty clean to keep it reliable.
  4. I'm curious, what barrel and trigger dude you upgrade to for the rpr?
  5. I found holographic sights had a fuzziness and noise to it, similar to the dot from a laser pointer, are you not seeing that?
  6. I have had to sand down my glock mags a bit so they drop free when full.
  7. I'm surprised to hear ETS mags have worked for people, I've had consistent feed issues with both the 30 and 40 round versions, using plated bullets. They've all ended up hanging up in the middle for me, or feeding so slowly they cause a jam. I did clean them and spray some lube in there (tried both remington dry lube and wiping with oil), but eventually always had issues again. The smoother surface of the metal inside glock magazines has worked flawlessly feeding for me on the other hand.
  8. That’s with lighter competition loads, ~130 PF. For higher power loads you’d want the HD buffer. https://www.blitzkriegcomponents.com/blitzkrieg-ar15-9mm-hydraulic-buffer-hd.html More spring and buffer recommendations in the description on that page.
  9. The maxamundi recommended kit is: Kynshot 5020ss Buffer Smoke Components A5 Buffer Tube SpringCo Orange Buffer Spring .400″ Spacer for Short Stroke Tuning https://brekkecustom.com/index.php/product/maxamundi-carbon-buffer-kit/
  10. I would guess the air buffer would feel softer and the scheel would be harsher but have less dot movement (and thus better for competition) - but I've never actually tried the Scheel. The Scheel would also be more difficult to pull charge at the beginning of its pull to overcome the rollers, similar to the Taccom Delayed Blowback Buffer, while the air buffer is the same pull throughout (except for the initial stick after sitting a while that I mentioned). I doubt any buffer is going to make a significant difference, though - the most commonly recommended setup is the blitzkrieg hydraulic buffer and that worked great for me for a long time and I know my scores haven't really changed with the new air buffer. I'm actually selling my blitzkrieg if you're interested.
  11. Most commonly recommended setup is Blitzkrieg Hydraulic 9mm Buffer Standard with the short stroke buffer spacer and 308 carbine spring. I recently switched to the MBX Air buffer and found it a little bit softer. It sticks a bit when you first pull the charging handle if it's been sitting for a while, but it's been a non-issue otherwise.
  12. Taccom sells a lead cutter cleaning tool for that: https://taccom3g.com/product/ulw-barrel-cleaning-tool/
  13. That's a bummer if it doesn't work with the taccom bolt. Not sure how the buffer would cause that though. Do you have the buffer retaining pin still in? Could it be getting caught on that?
  14. I ended up getting one and like it a lot - it definitely softens the blow of the bolt going back into battery. For comparison, I previously used a Blitzkrieg 9mm hydraulic buffer with the spacer buffer weight. The one issue I've run into is that when the rifle has sat for a while, the buffer o-ring seems to stick in the buffer tube a bit and takes some force to free up and can feel a little slow to move. I haven't had any issues shooting it in a match yet, though. Will it actually make a difference in my shooting and make me a shooter, though? Probably not, though that could be said for most upgrades.
  15. Humble Marksman just did a video on this:
  16. I'm using that mount with a Sig Romeo3 MAX too. Since the red dot extends out farther forward, it ends up covering the LCI hole, which fortunately keeps gas from leaving debris on the glass!
  17. How are you mounting the FTP Alpha on the M&P? Adapter plate?
  18. The website has said "This store is not accepting payments" for me for several weeks now, how did you put in an order?
  19. Heard they were better than the 30s, which jammed for me in the middle, but I'm also hitting a jam on the last 2 rounds in my ETS 40 rounders. Seeing this in 2 different mags even after cleaning: Saw another thread where someone hit this and attributed it to polymer coatings, but these are plated (though I have had polymer coated rounds in this mag before). Ran into this thread on reddit where someone suggested a fix by cutting a nub off the follower: Seems to be working better now, but that nub seems to be some sort of follower stop, and now one of my followers sticks out high like this - doesn't seem to be an issue hand-cycling, but I also don't have LRBHO: Disappointed these 40s are having issues after hearing good things about them, but hopefully this fix will do the trick. Might be worth trying on the ETS 30s I still have, but the glock factory mags I have still work the best out of all of these.
  20. I ran into this today, too - gunk builds up on the firing pin and channel so it won't reset properly and ends up causing light strikes. I replaced the firing pin recently so does seem like there was remaining gunk in the channel. Adding a bit of oil to the pin seemed to free it up enough to get through the rest of the match today. Came back and cleaned the channel with q-tips with a bit of the cotton tip removed, but it's hard to tell how dirty it still is. Will probably continue to run the firing pin with a bit more oil than I normally would and clean it more regularly.
  21. How does tuning for this work? It seems like you’d want to remove the weight from the bcg, use the strongest buffer locking springs, and lightest recoil spring to reduce recoil the most. How do you know if you’ve gone too far - split cases?
  22. Does it work with a stock that fully encloses a buffer tube, like the magpul fixed carbine stock? Or would that block the locking parts coming out of the buffer tube?
  23. Now available for sale: https://www.mbxextreme.com/index.php?page=Firearm_Accessories_Buffer With this, the Scheel roller-delayed buffer, and the JP-5 out now I'm curious to see how they all stack up against each other!
  24. Looks like I have a spare! PM incoming.
