  1. Nope, nice try though:) We have to block that trigger. Perhaps, gorilla tape could substitute.
  2. Mandatory trigger locks. If clear, hammer down, apply trigger lock.
  3. There is one flaw in your logic. It is up to the RO who issues the DQ to make the case for the DQ. It is not up to the RM to testify in an arbitration proceeding, that would be up to the RO that issued the DQ. We don't DQ people for what we think they did, only what we know they did.
  4. I didn't see anything in 9.1.3 about assigning procedural penalties to anyone. Just saying.
  5. You will probably never be able to positively tell. I've been in this sport for 39 years, many of them as RO-CRO-RM and for a while RMI and Area 5 Director for 9 years. Now that by its self means little. However, it provides a historical knowledge base to draw upon. I cannot remember a penalty of any sort being applied for prematurely pasting a target until this thread. I think there is a reason for that.
  6. There is a difference between intentional acts and a mental error. I've been in on rule making for USPSA and I believe if they wanted a penalty for the action we are discussing they would have clearly and definitely said so. You should be be able to look the shooter in the eye tell them what they did without scanning the rule book and applying interpretations to asses a penalty.
  7. Guys you are grasping at straws, imo. Safest bet is to not paste at all. Is that what the MD and RM really want?
  8. I don't think I have seen a rule quoted that allowed for the procedural penalty. Can anyone quote one? I mean an actual rule, not just because I say so.
  9. Often it happens when the RO crew deviate from a pattern of scoring. Sometimes heat and fatigue disrupt the thought process.. Sometimes humans will be human and make an honest mistake. And very rarely a dishonest person will rear their head. Whoops responded to to the wrong poster. Guess I'll get a procedural for that.
  10. I accidentally pasted a target once when I thought it had been scored. It sucks but it happens. If I thought i was was going to be penalized for a non COF brain lapse, I might just decided to not paste at all. Never thought I would be saying those words.
  11. In all the shooters I have started I've never seen this to be an issue. As to a penalty, that would depend on the shooters actions after I tell them to return.
  12. Just a guess, but I would guess no.
  13. Nope, the "tab" that comes up to block the bolt wasn't coming up far enough. Removing metal allows me to push the BHO in farther raising the "tab" higher. my terminology and description is probably off but I don't know how else to describe it:)
  14. Well problem solved. Replace 9nn BHO with a standard BHO, no joy still won't lock open. Took the rifle to Don at Advanced Weapons Technology for help. Don took some metal off of the back of the BHO and now I am locked back to perfection. Happy Days are here again.
  15. Arbitrations are not precedent setting, however can provide good guidance. Our sport will probably never be absolutely clear cut on some things. Probably because it is a dynamic sport always presenting new challenges. I am part of a Range Master group that discuss these types of issues. I can tell you that on very few subjects is there unanimous agreement. Unfortunately, IMO, I am often in the minority opinions
  16. I am very happy that the 10 minor vs 8 major is working just as I hoped it would.
  17. I love Single Stack, but I can't find any downside to PCC. At 70 years (young) I have an optic, minor power factor scored against other minor power factor, a three point hold on the carbine, and a 40 round magazine for 99 percent of the stages. What could be better? I've been shooting PCC since it became available and love it.
  18. Your right that is it exactly. It seems that the BHO doesn't push up far enough to get a good purchase on the bolt. It barely touches the bolt then slides off. I'll try plan A first and see how that works.
  19. After several variations and combinations I am going to try replacing the bolt catch with a regular AR 15 bolt catch. All I am losing is a hold open on the last shot. With 40+ rounds in the mag that seems like a moot point.
  20. Doesn't it just apply pressure on the original bolt hold open? As soon as pressure is released now the bolt goes forward. i'm willing to try it. Send me one and if it works I'll consider paying you for it ?
