  1. Wonder if anyone has done side by side comparison on the different apps? I’ve compared StrelokPro, Hornady, and Kestrel. They all seem to be almost identical.
  2. I’m also using StrelokPro but our Government has them under sanctions, so no updates.
  3. The Hornady app seems to be good. After a bunch of sweat I am finally learning to use my Kestrel also.
  4. Had Advanced Weapons Technology re-chamber one of my rifles to 6 Creedmoor. To say the least I’m very impressed. Factory 108 grain ammo 2970 fps, .462 100 yard groups. First attempt hits on 922 yard target. Pleasure to shoot, and very rewarding.
  5. I have the same scope. With factory Hornady 140 ELD my 1000 yard setting is 8.8 mils with a Ruger Precision Rifle.
  6. Wow, all this makes me wish I was back on the BOD (not).

  7. Thanks much. Just ordered one.
  8. Thanks it looks great. I just wonder if it will work n my Ruger Precision Rifle.
  9. I neglected to give specifics. It is for a RPR in 6.5 C. not an AR15.
  10. Well, no joy. The bolt still hits the back of the insert. However, my new plan is to section and cut a piece of PCv and insert it. That will create a concave channel for the bolt to run through.
  11. Does anyone make a follower for a P-Mag that allows single loading? Throw it in and close the bolt.
  12. My one and only comment on all of this. I am very disappointed in the process and results. I dont know who I would have voted for in an upcoming election because I don't know who would have been running. My issue is I am being told in essence, you can vote for anyone we approve of, but not this particular person. My ability to exercise my right to vote, as I see fit, has been denied.
  13. Colt light weight commander 45 ACP.
  14. I've read that book and am working my way through the rest of his books. I love the description of shooting a wounded Cape buffalo at close range describing after the shot as "the radical rearrangement of flora". The man had a way with words for sure. Merry Christmas.
  15. Just finished this book by Jim Corbett on his ventures of hunting tigers in India. Fascinating book to say the least. Every time I hear someone say "he had big cahones" I'll think of Jim Corbett.
  16. Wow! I am so sorry about this. Great guy and a great USPSA representative. RIP. Gary
  17. A great person. Always had a friendly smile when he greated you. He will be missed. Gary
  18. Do your best you can do. My problem came with not being able to stay abreast with the ever changing rule set. Without stability the path is open to making bad calls. What happened to me was totally my fault, no one else's. Good luck.
  19. I doubt that many, if any, have notice my absence at USPSA matches. There is a reason. At one of Sarge's matches I made a bad call that affected a shooter. That convinced me that it was time to retire. I have bowed out of all forms of NROI duties after several decades. Now before I get a series of "well bye" or "don't let the door hit you in the A$$" I write this to simply explain my absence. No pity party required or expected. Thats pretty well sums it up. Gary
  20. Chuck what laser are you using, and how is it performing?
  21. Boy The Rolling Stones sure had it right, "what a drag it is getting old". Of course the alternative is not good either.
  22. Probably nothing. In my case I had a high end Sig scope left over from a gun sale. I thought the cartridge was interesting and decided to build a bolt gun around it. So far I'm very pleased with it. If ammo situation ever gets better and I get better weather I'll be able to stretch it out more. Your 6 Creed looks like it is doing what it's supposed to do.
  23. One results in a total capacity change. The other does not.
