  1. Best first check is to clear the firearm, lock the slide back and press the “button” on the rear of the slide with a pen or something similar. Then, holding the button forward, look at the breach face of the slide and see if you can see a smooth, rounded tip of the firing pin. It should extend a considerable amount when fully pressed.
  2. Henning - 53g with hardware SSI Scales 2.0 for CZ75 - 42g with hardware SSI scales 2.0 for TS (thinner grip width) - 34g with hardware
  3. He’s been pretty responsive via Facebook. Try sending his Henning Group page a message.
  4. Made some additions to the Bullshadow and tried the magwell on the CO gun.
  5. This 100% i did my own install of the CGW parts and have a CZC pistol with their trigger work. you do need to replace HS and TRS to really get the CZC trigger to be a nice light pull but the crispness and feel of the trigger force profile is better from the CZC pistol, my personally installed parts are nice and light just not as buttery smooth. in the real “world” I don’t think it matters a bit but plenty of people (myself included) like to tinker and improve, always.
  6. Yes. just kidding. Have you had an opportunity to shoot (or at least fiddle with) a Shadow 2? I’d start there. you realize that if you get an S2 you’re just going to want to do all the fun stuff to it anyways.
  7. Good work but a question as followup: did you happen to look at the physical casings that didnt extract to see if there were any witness marks on the rim? also, did you look at the extractor itself closely? Even under magnification? have you tried to slip a casing into and out of the breech face from the bottom (simulating how it would load normally) to check how well the case is retained and/or clearance issues in that stackup? would hate to have TOO MUCH spring in the extractor, causing weird ejection patterns but having it bandaid another underlying issue.
  8. Both work, both will make weight with the right parts. Really up to you as to which fits you better.
  9. I’ve personally tried Springer Precision on multiple firearms, the CZC pads and the Henning Group pads for my CZs and finally landed on the Henning. Really easy assembly and disassembly, a little spendy but when you add the value of the spring kit in, it’s essentially the same to me. i can get 23+1 with the Henning kit on MecGar 17rnd tubes.

  11. it’s completely dependent on which division you are shooting. not kosher for production or any division that relies on the production list. for limited it is fine and for open it’s fine.
  12. While it does not retain slide lock function, I’ve been using the Czechmate slide stop pin for my CO pistol. My support thumb knuckle has thanked me.
  13. I understand that the maximum weight limit is 45oz but what I am trying to say is that in the CO rules appendix, there is ALSO a very specific line (rule 21.5) that states that Rule D4-18 (maximum of 4oz over listed weight) is still remains in force and relevant. I interpret this to mean that, if you are shooting a pistol in CO that is, say, 28oz that when fully assembled with magazine, optic etcetera, you wouldn’t be able to weigh in at over 32oz. this was directly referencing the tungsten grip module from SSI that supposedly gets the X5 up to 43oz (which listed weight is 33.5).
  14. That’s the Carry Optics appendix. Look at section 21.5, end of middle paragraph. this is the Production appendix which has the referenced D4-18 https://uspsa.org/viewer/Appendix_D4.pdf Why would they go out of their way to say “remain in force and relevant”?
  15. Then the rules in the CO appendix are contradictory. how would you interpret the reference to D4-18 then?
  16. I was reading the CO Appendix and under rule 21.5 it states “Note that the weight limits in D4-18 remain in force and relevant.” Meaning that even with an optic, you can only be 4oz heavier than the listed weight in the production list. Thus, max weight with an X5 in CO would be 37.5oz
  17. Correct. Shroud, rear plate, all associated unnecessary screws. nothing internal was removed or modified. came in at 1.50oz with hardware once complete, including battery.
  18. Henning grips and mag baseplates, SP01 polymer Guide rod and stripped DPP. picture is a few posts up in this thread.
  19. It is about .100” short but it works fine after cycling it a bunch. It’ll round the end off further but it’s a necessity to squeak ~0.6oz out
  20. I was able to do it though. I’m at 44.9 oz without a window cut. I did cut the pocket extra deep and I did not utilize the CZC universal plate. I also stripped about a half oz off the DPP. Plenty of people hog out the recoil spring tunnel. There’s easily 1/4oz there if not more. Henning grips are lighter than stock grips by 8 grams (.25oz) If you’re scared of being over weight at a major match, that’s on your conscious. A weight limit is a weight limit. Being 1-2oz lower is only for your comfort level.
  21. It was not in that picture but when I did load one it moved in cG minimally.
  22. Henning grips weigh 53 grams with the included hardware. Its surely possibly without the window cut. Just have to get creative and look for places to lose the weight easily.
  23. I actually had the work done locally. I provided them the cut specs and they took care of it. It’s a little different than typical pockets. its M4 x 0.7 correct
