  1. You were close, 39 at the moment.
  2. Thanks. Yeap, I got one with skin and blood embedded in it. I’ll be cutting one down tomorrow and give it a try. Thanks for all the help and time taking pictures and answering questions.
  3. Is the TK release the same length of the hogue short release?
  4. Concur. I don’t get to see many revolver shooters in shoots, if there is any we normally aren’t squadded together.
  5. MWP I’ve been dissecting what you wrote. I’m tracking with most of it, except getting the cylinder open. Are you using your left hand and popping it open?
  6. I’ve seen one other actually buy the PC gun to get that release to use on his IDPA SSR gun. In ESR which is moonclips you can you use aftermarket releases. SSR has to be factory.
  7. I understand the turning the muzzle left and have ran into that problem. Which results in twisting the body to the right. So when you start your reload, you keep the gun more in a vertical shooting position instead of rolling it into a more horizontal position to get the cylinder open?
  8. I’m trying to picture how it gives more muzzle control. Could you possibly post a picture of one of your cut releases. Is it the short hogue release?
  9. Some people think it’s made by Hogue, but there’s no writing. The under side that attaches to the bolt, looks exactly like a regular SW release. With the +- relief cuts. Apparently SW will not sale it as a part.
  10. Apex hammer, I have a piece of paper in there for dry firing.
  11. I can see that on a ruger, I saw your extended release you made, very nice. I’ve tried the weak hand and can do it if forced, but it’s not efficient at all for me.
  12. Thanks, that’s exactly what happens to me.
  13. Quick question. The folks that use the strong hand reload, do you use an extended release? I can see how it would be beneficial to weak hand reloads. Reason asking, I have a 686 PC with the factory extended release. With the regular release, when I roll the gun to open the cylinder, my thumb hits it perfectly and I’m done. With the extended it’s not as smooth. Thanks
  14. I use, Federal GMM primers, Hornady 230 FMJ-RN, 3.8 of Clay Dot, puts it right around 700 FPS. It’s my IDPA load for revolver.
  15. Use these guys, send them a picture of your gun, better yet call them. Use the Nanuk case. You won’t be disappointed.
  16. Thanks, I’m using .035 with Syntech brass.
  17. MWP, what moonclips do you use for your 929?
  18. I’d say yes, but I wonder, how many 929s are sold in a year.
  19. Exactly what I did and sent both to TK.
